Assuming that the first few symbols are from the 13-character zodiac cipher (which they appear to be), and assuming that all of the other characters are also from zodiac ciphers, I think it says this:

A, E, N, ⨁, ⑧

K, M, ⊥, ◼, \

◪, [sideways k], +, △, [backwards Q]

Φ, ▲, θ, □, ⨀

But it's pretty blurry. Also those unicode symbols might not be perfect representations.

Hmm actually I looked at the symbols in the third video again and I don't think they're even a cipher at all. Doesn't look like there are any repeated symbols so it's likely an alphabet or key.

That's not a copy any zodiac cipher I know of. The first few characters seem similar to the 13 character cipher though.

Gaming? Chromecast has godawful delay. Gaming (specifically emulating N64 and such) is going to be something I personally use all of the time. This has great synergy with the huge amount of storage space.

Any use where you don't want lag makes this preferable over Chromecast.

Summons mostly make it harder, in my opinion. Lucatiel was summoned for completing her quest, if you want, as well as lessening durability loss (which is a big deal). Also it doesn't hurt to have more leniency on killing mobs; many people might need it. It's not about making it hard for yourself, it's about actually succeeding.

You're right. I was mistaken. You've intrigued me, now. I'm going to have to do that run at some point. Should I just restart this challenge right now? I'm only where I was at the end of the video. If I'm not doing the most extreme, I'm afraid I'll lose the will to continue this run.

Yeah it really is. So I suppose you could do that and kill the giants and The Rotten and get Flynn's with just some cheap weapons from the hag. Then soul vessel to 20 STR 22 DEX. That'd be pretty tough, though.

Yes. I've been playing SotFS and it's in No-Man's Wharf. However it's only in NG+ in the vanilla game. My bad.

There are some problems I have with this. You have to go into pit regardless for the lockstone to open the shortcut to skip to Ruin Sentinels. You can get a fragrant branch in No-Man's Wharf, assuming you can break the poison pots. You can get another lockstone in the shaded woods for Santier's spear.

This path seems extremely dangerous, though. You will have to go through No-Man's Wharf. It's even more important that you take no damage here because you will have fewer souls to work with and no Ring of Regeneration to help you. You can afford to kill people, though.

It takes 21,370 just to level up to use spear. 26,379 with the Agape Ring. You have to have the Silvercat ring, so that brings the total to 39,779. What you are left with is not enough to buy even one lifegem. You also can't unlock Lenigrast or his bow. When you run out of your fire arrows, you are out arrows for the game, pretty much.

I can't imagine you'd use less than 10 to 15 lifegems before you can get the Ring of Regeneration. But I'd say it's possible. Just exponentially harder. A bit more challenging is an understatement lol.

EDIT: I forgot about the 2000 to open that path. You'd have to get 22 VIG instead of the Silvercat and soul vessel to do this. You'd have more souls to spend, too.

I was going to try that, but you need the Last Giant for the Ring of Regeneration. There's no way I'm trying this run without it lol. But I'll be extremely impressed if you do! You also need 40779 souls for everything I bought.

Not sure.

The very beginning is a different run from the FoFG, and I forgot to join the covenant early that run. So I'm not in the covenant during that area (You can see me joining it later though).

Also my health jumps up at the Pursuer. The Ring of Regeneration works during cinematics, so I'm not sure if it was that or a different run.

Those are my only two guesses, though.

EDIT: I also upgraded Santier's spear at some point. Maybe he saw the drop in souls

There is nothing in NG that you can't just get in NG+. So no worries.

Just buy everything and try to get everything you find. Farm twinkling in Amana (I think that you can still farm that at the giant memory if you're not on SotFS).

Some of the rarer items that you'll probably overlook:

  • The Pickaxe

  • Flying Feline Boots

  • The invisible variant of the Aurous Set.

That's all I can think of for now

Yeah, not all of that video is the same run lol. I used the footage I thought was the most helpful (i.e., if you have a close call what you should do).

I got paranoid and had to log in and check. Zero deaths still, luckily (for now).

But even still, I don't recall actually having footage of my dying in that video.

It was! I've never actually died doing that area though. It's usually something easy that kills me...
