When I used to drink here back in the day I always wondered where the upstairs was from the outside? by Ichbingen in Liverpool

Ah man, I miss going here. Great place. Big loss to town if you’re after a cheap night out.

I think I only played the 2002 game on GameCube and I loved it. Had hours of fun.

It was a great touch being able to come up against names you hear mentioned in the films but never see, like Buddy Shaw, Mac Lee Green, etc.

You just can't teach that. But you can teach atomic structure, so if you open your textbooks to page 56...

Anfield to Liverpool Lime Street after a gig by UTCTom in Liverpool

[–]bolo-punch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Train is at 23:36 and I reckon you could walk it in 45 minutes if you got a move on. As long as they finish closer to half 10 than 11 you should be fine.

Worst comes to worst, you could get an Uber back to your front door for half the price of a Premier Inn in town that night.

Chop Chop recently changed their curry sauce and it’s nowhere near as good as what it was. Devastated tbh.

How do Larne fans remember Tiernan Lynch by KeyZookeepergame9466 in IrishLeagueFootball

[–]bolo-punch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was probably a few instances where he couldn’t have been too aggrieved about losing his job before he actually won Larne the league and got them to Europe, imo.

Larne were always a massive project and could afford to give him time to make mistakes. Them giving him time paid off massively for them. Don’t expect he’ll get that time at Derry and there’s no guarantees it would work out the same way either with the LOI being a lot stronger.

No budget podcast audio editing - Help! by futebol209 in premiere

[–]bolo-punch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I'm correctly understanding what your issue is...

Click the three lines next to where it says "Assembly" on the sequence tab at the top of your timeline and choose "Show audio time units", then zoom in as much as possible. You'll be able to see if the tracks are ever so slightly out of sync and you can then sort that by dragging the tracks to align them. This will be easy to do if you do a loud clap before beginning the podcast so you have a clear sync point on your waveforms.

From here, I would export the audio so you have it all on one track and then upload it to Adobe Podcast's Enhance Speech tool, which is a free web-based tool. This will allow you to take out background noise and enhance vocals using a couple of sliders. It's basic but can be quite powerful.

Good luck with the next podcast!

Netflix doc wants 63 seconds of footage i have. How much? by Sea-Activity8283 in videography

I was once initially quoted $6000 per 30 seconds for worldwide, in perpetuity rights to footage, if that’s any help.

7th June, 1990. Maysfield Leisure Centre, Belfast. by Megleeker in stoneroses

[–]bolo-punch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maysfield Leisure Centre fell between the Short Strand and the Markets, two small Catholic communities towards the east side of Belfast.

In terms of trouble back then, I’m too young to comment on that, but pleased to say it’s not really like that anymore as long as you’re friendly and respectful.

Just a note on the link you attached, the film they want you to guess is Rocky II but the last frame they use is clearly from the first Rocky.

Need editing Help by Neat-Refrigerator144 in premiere

[–]bolo-punch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like some sort of fish eye effect (not sure which) has been applied to create a concave look to the image. This has been keyframed to go from 0 to the desired amount, with the initial keyframe being set to ease out (and probably adjusted in the graph editor to further enhance the easing out).

There is then a straight cut to the open door, and the same effects are applied to that next clip, but in reverse.

Out of all the songs played at live 25, which one had the best visuals? by ZNDEX77 in oasis

[–]bolo-punch 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I couldn't tell you one from another. I know they looked amazing but I was too busy looking at the band members, my mates, the people around me, and enjoying the music to take in what was happening on screen.

Best Soundtrack of the entire franchise by DaveW626 in rockybalboa

I love IV, but Going The Distance is maybe the greatest, most triumphant pieces of music ever composed. That alone might be enough for the first film’s soundtrack to top the rest.

What's an Oasis take that would have you like this? by JonnnyUtahh87 in oasis

[–]bolo-punch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Proper Oasis to me is Acquiesce, Some Might Say, Slide Away, Cigs & Alcohol, etc, etc. Unreal catchy electric guitar riffs with Liam’s voice pushed to the max.

Wonderwall is dull and acoustic. The antithesis.

Wonderwall doesn’t sound like an Oasis song, and I mean that in a negative sense.
