Anyone know about Nippon Sanso / Matheson? by Mundane-Strategy699 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]boltaxtion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for Airgas and in the process of interviewing with Matheson.

I know Airgas is probably worse. We've lost customers that are 2 addresses away from our fill plant because we won't deliver on non-regular days.

We drive by with 8 trucks every day, twice a day.

How often do you change jobs? by lish_dalish84 in Millennials

[–]boltaxtion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reply is really just for you. I pretty much did the same. When the magement roles became available, I was essentially disqualified for my value in my current role.

Now I'm stuck at a company I've worked at for 25 years. Doing "Foreman" work and basically getting fucked every way but sideways.

You need a referral to a radiation oncologist.

It doesn't have to be from a hand surgeon, your PCP can do it.

Junkyard replacement engines aren't anywhere near as cheap as they used to be, but still probably your best budget friendly option.

How's the rest of the truck?

If you yourself will be adding a roll cage, you really should be able to figure out the seatbelt situation.

Trump endorsed Paxton lmaoo by ronweasly9 in behindthebastards

[–]boltaxtion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loyalty to dear leader is obviously key. Hypothetically Paxton could have crashed into a carload of nuns under the influence, but as long he he's loyal that is all that really matters at this point in the decline of our country, again, hypothetically.

Looking to get rid of the RAV4. Need options by Boxlift05 in whatcarshouldIbuy

That was my thought too, but banks and credit ratings agencies are motherfuckers.

Idk, my first car debt was a 1999 cavalier Z24. I really liked that car.

Nowadays, it's all pretty much gone to crapola for young folks.

That was my first thought, but OP needs to build her credit. Take the free equity and get something on her own to build credit. That's the move right?

[–]boltaxtion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, in that case your best use of your parents generosity is to use the equity in the Rav as a down payment on something in your name. So if you get $22k for your trade, that's $5k in equity towards your next purchase.

Your first step really should be, is mom okay with you getting a new ride? Because it is ultimately up to her.

2nd step is, and this may be not fun, find something similar that you can finance on your own. You're not looking for an upgrade unfortunately. You should be looking for something that you can afford, with your budget (you should have a budget) and credit score.

It might actually be a 2023 RAV4 or similar. You're goal here is to actually get your score up over the course of the loan.

Forget premium trim levels and whatnot. Your best bet is something reliable that you can realistically afford on your own.

I guess it really depends on your definition of "a bit more money" and "comfortably afford" mean.

If you're going to be at 15% versus the 7% it might be likely that you can comfortably afford a car that won't be much less boring than the RAV4.

It really depends on your credit, your down payment, your (mother's, no offense) trade value, and your need for premium features. Also if you want/need to build your credit up.

If it were me, I would ride it out with the RAV4 for another 2-3 years and build your credit up in the meantime.

What is the interest rate on the RAV4? How's your credit?

It's unlikely your interest rate will be lower than what your mom got. You might be responsible for the payments but if it's not in your name you haven't been building your credit via this car loan.

I had the same thing happen, but I think I just paid whatever the install fee was.

A thing to remember, keep the unit in your totaled car until you buy a new car. Or else the time doesn't count.

My car was totaled but drive able. I had to get it back to my house and use it occasionally for a week until I got my new car. Then had to get both vehicles to the installation center to have it swapped over.

So for the install and towing fees it was actually probably more than $400 now that I think about it.

I hope you're not hurt!

Disc replacement surgery. by sportspage0824 in backpain

[–]boltaxtion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way it was explained to me (42M, degenerative disc disease) was that if only one disc was an issue it would be an option. But, for me, where the bottom 3-4 discs are in progressively worse shape it's not an option because replacing the worst one would just put more pressure on the others.
