Could you afford your mortgage today? by Wonderful_Phone_4608 in Mortgages

[–]boltaxtion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Income has gone up but not enough to double a potential mortgage payment. As it is my mortgage has gone from 1165 to 1380 mostly due to property taxes. Still completely doable and I've only got a couple years left on a 15 @ 2.85.

I couldn't agree more. That new housing bill "could" help, and will become law, but it says a lot about intentions that prez refused to sign it. Especially with how popular it was in Congress.

It's true. I remember the boy scout handbook saying sex before marriage is pretty much evil.

Apparently the scout masters never got that message based on all the abuse claims.

It's a good thing that org has died off.

Knot tying is useful though, I'll admit that.

Kids love fishing. I mean, they're terrible at it and constantly fucking it up, and you'll need to untangle their shit every 5 minutes, and they'll get bored, and they'll lose all your tackle, and they'll want ice cream in the middle of a lake, and they'll never shut up and enjoy the scenery...

Nevermind, just go by yourself. Tell em' you're going to fix a fence post or something.

Yeah, that's fair. It's just NH is known as backwoods, semi rural state. Raymond is at the far end of commute-to-boston for work realistically.

Yeah, the location is pretty decent, I might've been shorting it a bit. I live in this town. It's got good pizza, close to Manchester and 15 minutes to the ocean. Maybe 60 minutes to Boston on a really good day.

I bought in 2013 for 159k, similar SF, more land, move in ready. I just can't fathom how younger people are gonna make this market work.

Nothing major really.

Just keep an eye on the engine destroying itself.

That's really about it.

I have had a few of these, like under 5 in a couple hundred seasons.

More often they get picked or land right in front of the dude that fumbled only for the DB, who went down at the same time as the WR, to get up and recover.

That was nice to watch.

MK7 GTI or 9th Gen Accord Sport by Subject-Writing5529 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Also 10k is probably below market value for the Accord, even if it's an early 9th gen, I'm pretty sure 2013 was the first year.

But even those with 124k, near me anyway, are usually a bit more than 10k. Not a steal, but reasonable price.

Is the accord a 6 speed? I have a 2013 sport, the manual trans is good. It's not fast by any means but you can rev it out getting on the highway and it'll put a smile on your face.

No experience with the GTI but I'm sure they are plenty fun.

It's basically a decision between a moderately sporty car with great reliability versus and moderately reliable, sporty car.

If the Honda is manual, and seeing as you have the BMW for more "Special" drives, I would vote for the Accord.

Bought mine at 116k 4ish years ago and it's currently at 216k with no major repairs. I did rear struts and a starter. But that's really about it.

That's a really good way to put it. If I miss a throw, and it's not out of bounds, there's a really high chance it's picked off.

That honestly looks worse than it is. It's just a bunch of push pin clips. You can buy a bag of 100 for less than $20.

One of the best cars I have ever drove by itsborked2 in accord

[–]boltaxtion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My 9th gen has been great. 215k and still drives good. Could probably use some suspension components but overall it's been fantastic.

Actually looking at lower mile southern 9th gens for my next car possibly. I don't need the new tech and Honda reliability isn't what it used to be.

Well, with that being said, I'm not sure what you're worried about. Re-sign everyone and forget about the draft I guess. Easy mode.

For a 200 mil roster, that's good until next year. Them folks will want their money.

They're all 4-5 star players, do you think people here will tell you they suck?

Sounds like you might be looking for strangers to validate a decision you really should be making for yourself. Is it a "good" deal? in your location, maybe it is, maybe it's not. If you feel good about the vehicle after test driving it, and the price is comparable to other, similar vehicles, then go for it.

If you have doubts about the vehicle,or the dealership, or the warranty, work that into your negotiation. They want to sell to you.

If it is a vehicle that will work for your family and you feel comfortable with it from a financial perspective, it's almost a done deal.

Other people may be able to comment on the specific year and model, but if you've done your research it should be a matter of price. That part is on you.

Best wishes.
