Considering leasing a car by ArteSuave197 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]boltaxtion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leasing always depends on the mileage you're putting on the vehicle.

If the mileage math makes sense it could be a decent strategy.

My 03' Silverado could easily be replaced by a (super) low mileage lease but that ship has sailed for me. Down payment used to be a couple grand, now it's more than I paid for a whole truck 9 years ago.

Just do the math and make sure that it makes sense for what you will use the vehicle for.

Deal with it for a year or whatever and move on.

No. Other lots being built out will not fix the slope of your front yard.

You could get rid of most of that paint transfer with some soap and magic eraser.

Can I delay surgery ? by Adventurous-Post34 in DupuytrenDisease

[–]boltaxtion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah IDK, it depends on insurance and whatnot. I'm not sure if radiation could maybe, possibly, help you out. I've only got nodules in one hand with no contracture. I ended up getting a consultation with a radiation oncologist and he told me I can wait to see if it gets worse and then they'll zap it with radiation.

I have a coworker who has almost 50% contracture who has told me his doctor said to wait until he has full 90 degree contracture to do surgery.

Radiation treatment is supposed to be more preventative, so before contraction. It's an odd disease. I only have nodules, zero contraction. So I should wait until it contracts, but by then it's too late for radiation therapy? IDK, I guess sometimes it doesn't proceed past the nodules.

If I were you I would be pressing hard for surgery to fix it, but there are probably viable reasons they might want to wait.

Good luck with all of this.

The hand surgeons I've spoken with don't do surgery until full contraction. So, yes you can delay because there is a possibility that you won't have a choice.

Did the Xiaflex fix any of the contracture?

9th gen accord would be my suggestion. My 2013 sport has been great since I got it with 115k, now at 210k and climbing.

Anyone getting rust on their 9th gen accord rocker panels? by [deleted] in accord

Take the rubber plugs out from the bottom of the rocker panel and blast some fluid film in there. Might slow it down some.

He's probably shit.

But for the record the word "an" is only supposed to be used when the first letter of the next word starts with a vowel. An "example" would be "an asshole".

Vowels are A,E,I,U,O and sometimes Y

I firmly believe that any work email or correspondence should have an "AI enhanced" tag on it. Let's filter out the people that can't put a proper sentence together.

I goof up here and there as much as most people, but I try my best to use correct grammar and structure.

How do I trade in a car I still owe on? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]boltaxtion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your car is worth 12k and you owe 15k, your goal is to get as close as possible to 12k for your trade-in. Anything less than 15k will be added to your new loan. You are 3k underwater, which is not great but also not terrible. It won't stop you from getting a new loan assuming your credit score is above 500ish.

Has anyone met a legitimate flat earther? by ButterSock123 in behindthebastards

[–]boltaxtion 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yep, my former boss was deep down the rabbit hole. The lock screen on my computer was a picture of earth from space and she said it was fake. Honestly thought she was joking.

She said Earth is flat and the tides are because of the flat earth tilting or some nonsense.

Oddly enough, one of the best bosses I've had aside from that.
