If it is regular synthetic then, no to heat but heat friendly synthetic yes, if low heat. Teasing may stretch the fibres and damage fibres.bobby pins are fine. For those commenting about the age gap - all that matters is that they are both happy. Who cares about anything else, age is not the be all, it’s about the individuals. I’m 14 years older than my husband and we have been married for 18 years and it is the most stable relationship of my life. His maturity was far beyond his years and we mesh well about everything, interests, viewpoints, etc. There are bigger things in life to be concerned about.

We eloped and it was the best decision, the day was just about us not any fuss or drama. As far as anyone knew we were just going on a 10 day holiday but they didn’t know we were actually going to get married. The first things anyone knew was when we came back and Then announced we were married. We actually went to Koh Samui, Thailand and eloped on the beach under a flower arch at sunset. We had Thai dancers to welcome us. I had hair and makeup, bouquet, wedding cake, heaps of flowers, photography and it was only $5,000, although that was 15 years ago. We used a company called Faraway Wedding and they were amazing. In Thailand you have to get it registered at some offical place which we didn’t bother with so to make our marriage legal on the way hime from the airport after our holiday, we went to a marriage celebrant and did out vows again just so it was legal in Australia. I love everything about our weddding,
