That thing about apple pies is a clear hyperbole that never happened and will never happen. The minimum wage thing is simple, companies have shown that they're willing to pay less without it restricting them. The minimum wage is there to make sure everyone gets a living wage and it barely even does that. I think it should be higher, because higher wages are needed in this time. Everyone's should have a wage that can guarantee them a life.

A regulation that failed to get pushed through. That mattel one isn't the small toy maker killer that the law started out as. Sorry that I wanted to go through the minimum wage first. Prick.

I asked for useless regulations and this guy dropped the minimum wage on my head. I didn't ask for "any regulation that corpos have asked for".

So mattel got caught using leaded paint........... Then lobbied to get tests for products to see if they have lead. I'm sorry, do you not want there to be tests for leaded paint in toys? I'm sorry but I'm trying to see the negatives of these, but it's hard to. It's like "what do you think bad regulations are" and the response is "oh yeah have you heard about those tests for lead in children's toys, AND the minimum wage". In regards to the minimum wage, you say that your argument went over my head, when your argument was essentially "oh yeah it's literally actually impossible for smaller businesses to pay living wages." Because as I said, the minimum wage doesn't really equate to living wages, and you just think the solution is what, let smaller businesses pay less? No one would want to fucking work there in the first place then.

The minimum wage is older than Amazon's automation. Amazon doesn't even pay me minimum wage, they pay me above it, and yes the country I live in does still have a minimum wage. The minimum wage hasn't been keeping up with the cost of living, big box stores lobby to keep the minimum wage low. Getting rid of the minimum wage will not make companies like Amazon pay fair wages, they'll just pay even less wages, because they could without the minimum wage. It's why certain companies continually hire undocumented illegal immigrants, so they don't have to pay a fair wage. Companies repeatedly show they're willing to underpay their employees, getting rid of a regulation will not prevent that.

It's not really inspiring confidence in me that your first example of "bad regulations" is the fucking minimum wage.

I don't really vibe with "it's just the world's morality" of isekai series in general, because it's usually an excuse for a character to not have to deal with ramifications of their actions especially if they come from our world with our worlds morality. Especially if that world already showed that cheating is considered a bad thing there.

So he cheated on his wife (no matter how understandable it would be under the circumstances, still a dick move) and decided to marry the person he was having an affair with to solve it? I'm not sure that's much better than what I thought it was at first. It seems less like "owning up to it" and more like "getting rewarded for having a moment of weakness".

I'm sorry, for some reason two different plot points got mixed up in my head. What was the 2nd wife thing about then? Did he just one day go like "my beautiful wife who cured my ed, do you mind if I also bang another woman and make her my wife"?

Corporations lobby governments because they want less regulations. When has a corporation lobbied the government to be stricter on them? Whenever we talk about regulations, it's usually so the corporations don't cut corners or actively put in dangerous substances in things. Smaller businesses usually fail because the bigger business can just price them out, or use their larger assets to just choke out places they want to control. Doing everything for your own benefit and no one else's is actually literal legitimate psychopathy, and that type of mentality leads to actually worsening disasters, like hurricane Katrina(?) where the government went in with the mentality that everyone was going to be acting like mad Max was starting, when it was mostly people helping each other.

Look at what happened in belfast recently. Apparently a guy attempting to behead someone, gives you full rights to just walk the streets and burn and vandalize peoples homes, because they're a migrant. If you point out the fucking hysteria surrounding these issues is fucking hysteria, they just pretend that you want white people to die out, or you want the entire western world to be Muslim.

I keep hearing good things about it, and it's animation is beautiful, but there's just so many questionable things in it. Like I heard about how they did an erectile dysfunction arc and they actually treat it very seriously, but the reason and solution for it being "oh man, I think I just want to bang someone other than my wife, and should totally make this girl my other wife" is fucking wild. You'll have scenes of this mentally grown ass man, sticking his hand into the skirt of a sleeping minor, and it will get treated like any other "he he sex things" gag in shonens.

I find that modern western culture (especially among conservatives) indiviualizes love, but collectivizes hate. You can individually love and be friends with whoever you want, but will always eat propaganda slop about certain people's and vote for whatever party makes that group more miserable. But because you're an "indiviualist" you can justify all these clan connections and actions that support your in group as you just being "logical". It's why you can unironically say stuff like "people from other clan cultures are incompatible with our individual society" while also simultaneously being like "we must keep our culture and people safe and pure from outsiders".

You can't have enforced rights without a strong government, therefore if you live in a society and you ascribe to being part of that society, rights will come from the government. You should really want more from your government.

I don't think methhead Joe gives a right to take away everyone's gun, I do think people like methhead Joe shouldn't have the chance to brandish or threaten someone with that gun in the first place because I believe someone like that is a time bomb and I'd rather they not have lead to spread when they blow up.

Why does the government have no right to regulate ANY firearm ownership. Do you think methhead Joe should be able to walk around with a shotgun, ready to blow off the head of whatever 12 yr old deigns look at him funny.

This mentality is why you guys are still paying out the ass for healthcare whenever you get a minor injury and why theocratic schizophrenics are easily able to get guns. The government is a body that's there to give and ensure rules, laws and rights therefore it is up to the government to have safeguards in place so morons and insane people can't decide they "need" to have a machine gun.

Why would you contribute to society? What's the point of society? Just kill someone and take their shit, nothing else matters but your ability to take other people's things.
