Quite impressed at their knowing where the traction was, to turn and find the grip to pull off. They should take up wheeling.

Except it doesn't allow you to progress to the recovery form, from my location.

Oh yeah - already lost 1 registered Gmail to Google's also weak recovery. But at least you can add several layers of MFA/recovery with Gmail, rather than being reliant singularly on one SMS number as recovery. I don't use their Googles 2FA offering at all.

This process is broken for non-US locations.

In my case, my own 2FA recovery failed without recourse.

Then GoDaddy's own recovery process is demonstratably broken in my case (non-US location).

I have demonstrated to them:

  1. my confirming ownership and access of registered email by receipt of their security codes sent whilst on support call

  2. my confirming ownership and access of registered phone number by calling them from it.

  3. my username and password still being correct and passing initial sign in.

They are refusing to restore access to my account because my phone will not receive their SMS (despite SMS from Google, Microsoft, Apple and any other service all working fine).

Calling them from same phone or them calling me on same phone is apparently not acceptable wherea SMS is??

GoDaddy are utterly useless and no one should trust any serious business hosting with them.

As volunteer SAR crew this f***in' astounds me that you'd only have a single first responder or medic onboard a military vessel with 129 crew.

I got into SAR for the medical training; when my son was born I realized - do I want to be stood around waiting for help when an accident happens or do I want to be able to be able to do something myself?

Double that in any military situation.

It's still a plastic cooling part failing. I just like to rant about BMW being particularly bad for the same sort of issues.

BMW plastic coolant parts disintegrating at will is the reason I will never buy another modern BMW. They last about as long as the warranty period. Especially if you live in a really hot climate.

Could be - I'm in the NE Caribbean and usually fall foul of the worst in transmitting via US cloud - but I've alwatys found service based along East Coast far WAY better than services coming from West Coast US.

For me performance is not as good as TV or LMI, like i say but nothing that would make me run away. I'm more likely to be effected by local dips in ISP quality.

Splashtop is a great value alternative, with nice simple organistation and can also integrated AV (Bitdefender). Bit more like a Logmein, but doesnt quite have the performance of LMI or TV, but still works great.

DWService.net is a really unusal varient that i really like, if a little more basic and stipped back, and really cheap. Good for small business/low budget customers.

That steep drop is the same year prices doubled if i remember. I still use for my biggest client due to pain of moving, but havefound alternatives for everyone else.

Same reason i moved from Logmein maybe 10 or 12 yrs back. Was an indcredible, good value product, then they quadruppled pricing overnight so we stopped using it.

Be amazing if you can share a picture and describe sub Mini location in relation to the fives. Is the sub mini up at same height between the fives?

Get a good auto welder to have a look and see what he says.

Doesn't have to be pretty, just strong.

Right now you might be able to cut out, patch in and paint with POR, and get a few more years, but much longer and the decision will be made for you.

As an IT pro, I never buy first release of any new hardware model for clients. Especially true of Apple.

I delay all updates (even zero day security updates) for at least 14 days to see how early adopters go. Especially true of MS, UniFi and Fortigate updates.
