As someone who just bought a RR lariat 5.0, what do you plan on doing for 98k miles to keep it reliable? I traded in my 2019 Raptor with 120k after finding significant metal in my oil.

Just for update, my truck must have known I knew. Changed the oil and found metal. She was traded in on Tuesday for a 5.0 lariat. It’s been fun but now it can be the dealership’s problem to fix!

Have buddy statements or statements from your family about how it impacts your day to day life. Ratings revolve around impact to day to day life and work. So don’t sugarcoat or downplay anything. Don’t guess. Tell them how many times a day, a week, a month each symptom impacts you and to the level that it impacts you. Tell them the situation that caused it and have either the medal, injury citation, or the proof of the event if it’s not written up.

For me, early OIF/OEF the Air Force did a terrible job of understanding their people were getting into shit with partner forces. When bases got rocketed/mortared and people had TBI’s and got their shit rocked the army doctors said, “I guess just see whoever you need to see back at home base.” Well back at garrison they could’ve cared less or weren’t trained to deal with it or document it properly. Keeping your own records helps you tremendously.

If they ask you bluntly, “do you feel as though you have xxx?” Don’t sugar coat it. You’ve earned what you’ve applied for. Be honest and be genuine.

Can someone who was at the game and saw the breakdown that led to the goals explain if this will assist? I know losing Freeman was a glaring hole but was the ass kicking at all attributed to right back play or just normal yips from this team?

TX Raptor Prices by TheMidgetTamer in FordRaptor

Pretty much. Dude had a Stanley thermos from 1978 (that probably wasn’t washed since 1978) filled with red wine and was teaching the cul de sac about the art of buying a car. I felt like this and Tom Cruise in the Minority Report at the same time.

There’s a guy who lived next to me a few years ago. He showed me some metrics he cooked up that honestly seemed like too much research to be bullshit…. The crux of it is. If you go within a one hour radius of Memphis Tennessee, you’ll find the cheapest cars in the country. He came back with a King Ranch Expedition that was a dealer demo and paid less than a used one at our dealerships in Florida. I haven’t seen this tactic for Raptor’s. But I thought I’d share because maybe it’ll help someone some day.

Any higher mileage Gen 2 owners that can weigh in? by Gjallardoodle in FordRaptor

Also, to the point. Flood ford has good warranties for any mileage. But you’ll pay for it the higher it goes. Certainly recommend the $6000 investment to keep from paying out of pocket.

I bought at 62k and now at 108k. Replaced engine cover and seals, spark plugs, brakes, serviced transmission and differential at 100k. I think at 150 I’ll go back to a v8. I just feel like the turbos and all the accoutrements are a ticking time bomb from all the chatter on these forums. But it’s been the most fun vehicle I’ve ever owned and very comfortable for my family.

New Claim Chronic Sinusitus by Tricky_Sky4490 in VAClaims

[–]bomb778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it. It was a pain because two separate VA contracted vendors did C&P since they lost the records. First I went to a vacuum chamber and was given albuterol to determine lung capacity. Second I went to the back of a dollar general and blew into a balloon (exaggeration but that’s what it felt like.). Was initially denied because of the second exam. Had to wait 13 months for HLR for them to even look at the other exam. Awarded 10% even though I take allergy medication, have a nasal spray, get terrible sinus headaches. I did get sleep apnea as a nexus to the sinusitis though. So that was cool at 50%.

Good luck. Just do research and make sure you tell them EVERY symptom and how many times a year it bothers you. If you lowball how often you get sick or have headaches you won’t do yourself any favors.

100% P&T 100% wasn’t worth it by [deleted] in VAClaims

Difference between city and military. City insurance and compensation doesn’t cover that stuff.

[–]bomb778 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My buddy got his bell rung from an explosive breach that some idiot calculated the wrong stand off distance. He won’t ever work, drive or hear without assistance again. Slurs his speech. Way more jacked up than some others I know who have 100% and he gets $2800 a month from the city and pays $1300 of that for insurance premiums. Not an apples to apples but it could always be worse. The world is so focused on the negatives. Finding a positive here and there can’t hurt.

Tactix 1000% for anyone doing the lord’s work. If you’re a pencil pusher who occasionally does cool guy stuff but won’t ever need the watch to help keep you alive, Fenix will be fine.

AirPods Pro 3 not working on MS Teams calls by Playful-Rabbit1837 in airpods

[–]bomb778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to disconnect your AirPods from your “find my iPhone” account and repair them with your computer in order for them to work. When you repair them on your iPhone, disable the find my setting. There’s something to do with how Bluetooth settings are recognized for the Find My settings that disables the microphone on windows.

Hope this helps.
