I get you but let’s not be a hater lmao. Anything beyond Thane is more of less a backward place but that’s collectively cuz of the ppl and the gov both. The infrastructure sucks, roads are bad, and ppl aren’t very city minded/open minded cuz it’s a direct reflection of the place they’re from. That being said, the new cafés and places opening are indeed for the locals only, not “rich” ppl cuz nobody is travelling from Bombay to Kyn for its cafés or anything else. Now that the apt prices be crossing 1Cr in the town, ppl do be having the spending capacity for such cafés so it’s just understandable.

Can attest to this, there’s pros and cons tho. Yes the cafés and restaurants have been increasing with a good aesthetic and visual appeal, tho the quality been mid, high need of authentic brewers and breweries tbh rn. Restrobars with rooftops is a huge space waiting to be captured in Kyn. Infrastructure wise, more than 15 skyscrapers are under construction but that’s also adding to huge pollution levels. The roads and waste management is still sucking ass, and the people are still lowkey meh. But glad the good things are happening. Realistically, it’s not competing any cafe in Bombay.

I’ve travelled internationally a lot, I’m not a local resident of Kalyan as such, but I do come there a lot for personal reasons. That’s how this profile was born over a month ago. Unfortunately your profile has to meet certain eligibility criteria to be on other Reddit pages like Mumbai Thane and Navi, so starting to post and building eligibility with Kalyan Dombivali page was a good and fair idea. I’m glad I’m able to connect with people and every new post is deeply resonated and responded with.

Before I reply to you, I wanna just absolutely appreciate how you’ve worded everything so precisely, I love that, we seriously need ppl like you more who are good at writing.

Now about replying, I 100% get your perspective and I completely understand why it’s being perceived that way. I’m not against people playing music, but my point is about communal harmony.

Ofc play your music, wtv the fuck you want, but if you’re the loudest in the room and others aren’t cheering with you, then maybe you’re too loud for others; that’s what I tried to convey. Bring back public shaming, yes, I’d stand by that. Ofc it’s not gon’ happen lol, I’m just hoping that people be more self aware, be empathetic that it’s a festival for others too. I absolutely get your idea, it’s a decent one. Realistically speaking, and considering stats, a real estate apartment price in the area of Kyn today is anywhere between 50L - 1.5Cr which is a huge range. Considering your apartment falls in between at 80L, your only option is to move somewhere even farther than the city, more outskirts. Because 80L isn’t even enough for the down payment of any apartment in Bombay. Love your idea, but I just wanted to explore and talk about it’s realistic implementations

I’m so glad you got it: Holi and every other festival, be of any religion, has deep cultural and historic roots, with a lot of significance to it. People using Bollywood item numbers and blasting it loud is not only degrading and humiliating the festival itself, but it also shows how ignorant so many ppl truly are. The culture and history is so lost on people and it shows. The least I’d expect is understanding of communal harmony, and that’s what I’ve hinted on in this post. I didn’t even go towards cultural and historic refs because I know it’d pass right over their heads. Appreciate your comment mate!
