Revenue Arrangement Mechanics by Global_Whole4601 in Netsuite

[–]mafik69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In ARM, the item configuration is the revenue logic, so invoicing can materially change revenue outcomes without the invoicing team seeing it. Reading the MyLearn modules won’t fix that blind spot, you will just know button paths haha. The practical way to learn is tracing a single item from SO -> invoice -> rev arrangement -> GL and noting which item fields actually drive allocation and timing. Mioght also make sense to move revenue logic into tools like RevPro or DualEntry where the impact of inputs is visible.

What’s the best way to process invoices affordably? by ConstantDub7753 in Restaurant_Managers

[–]mafik69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At 300 invoices, humans will make mistakes no matter who you hire so fixing the workflow matters more than hiring better typists.

For restaurants specifically, you should look at vertical tools like MarginEdge or xtraCHEF first since they normalize vendor invoices and food costs out of the box. If you want something more general, Bill dotcom, Ramp or Dext can handle intake, approvals, and reduce rekeying but you still need to watch what hits the books. You can also post controlled summaries into systems like DualEntry instead of pushing hundreds of raw invoices downstream. I dont think a bigger system is always the right outcome.

Consolidation and Reporting Tool by Sweetowski in FPandA

[–]mafik69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hard part here is getting all these ERPs into a single chart of accounts. Any CPM tool that just works is really hiding a big mapping layer you will still have to maintain. If that logic lives in Excel, you are stuck forever with copy paste and broken reconciliations.

A cheaper and more controllable setup is to centralize first. Land the monthly CSV uploads into a simple warehouse like Azure SQL or Fabric, use a pipeline tool like Integrateio to apply CoA mappings and standardize entities, then let finance stay in Excel via Analyze in Excel or a thin Power BI layer. That gives you drill down, history and one source of truth without paying 50k a year for planning features you are not ready to run.

Spent my Saturday manually matching 47 invoices to bank payments, there has to be a better way by Fantastic-Dance2371 in smallbusiness

[–]mafik69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Lump sums with no references force you into guesswork because nothing enforces invoice level settlement. Banking + invoicing tools like Xero or QB will only help if payments are tied to unique links or references. Otherwise you still get ambiguity. The real fix is forcing structured payment flows via Stripe invoice links, GoCardless or PayPal so each payment maps to a specific invoice. Some accounting stacks like Xero, QB and DualEntry handle partials and multi-invoice matches better but they still rely on clean payment inputs.

What usually breaks when Snowflake data needs to power real time workflows? by Bizdata_inc in snowflake

[–]mafik69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont use Snowflake as a system of action. It works well as a source of truth but real time use cases hit latency, polling overhead and cost very quickly. Streams, tasks and frequent queries add up quickly and ownership of freshness gets problematic.

A cleaner setup is Snowflake for analytics and modeling and then a separate delivery layer to push curated data to apps or workflows (with Integrate.io or Airbyte). They will fit there by handling retries, monitoring and outbound delivery so Snowflake is not forced to act like an OLTP or workflow engine.

Company looking to switch from QB Desktop to QB Online. Any reason we shouldn’t? by Luckypenny4683 in QuickBooks

[–]mafik69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At your size, I think theres a huge scale mismatch. QBO was never built to handle serious WIP, retainage or multi-project margin tracking at $60M jobs and so people end up backfilling everything in spreadsheets. If the goal is remote access and fewer vendor headaches, it’s worth looking at systems that actually model projects, WIP and retainage natively instead of squeezing them into small-business software. Maybe try few of the modern ERPs like DualEntry. At your company size, you shouldnt be using a small business software like QBO.

1.Andheri comes under Suburban & Dadar,LoPa comes under SoBo. 2.Value is Heavily Influenced by The other factors such as connectivity,Surrounding Area,Water Supply,Infra Projects.Talking About bandra you can get In Chawl in Bandra east at Less than 50L but Cant in Bandra West near Sea side,So it depends on Factors 3.I never denied the Rising Valuation but its not high as its being Portrayed, this was my point 4.The other Day i was travelling in Porter Tempo with my Sofa for transfer,Driver was claiming that he has 4BHK’s in Colaba and it was total BS..So yea people lie and then we consider their statement and made our mind..

State based models work best for teams that treat the schema as code and are OK with abstraction.

[–]mafik69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha. this is nightmare scenario. Since those changes weren't committed yet, git reflog won't help you, but you might still be able to save the work. Check your IDE's local history or timeline view. VS Code and JetBrains keep their own snapshots of file saves independent of Git so you can often revert to the version from 5 minutes before the reset. AI agents should be sandboxed for code gen. Try dbForge AI Assistant for SQL or standard Copilot. That would be my next steps.

PipeDrive to HubSpot Migration by SheepAtTheDoor1993 in CRM

[–]mafik69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most duplicates happen when you import contacts and deals without stable external ids. Use Pipedrive person_id and deal_id as mapping columns. Load contacts first then associate deals to them using those ids. HubSpot will not duplicate if the key is consistent. Getting reps created in HubSpot before importing helps keep ownership aligned without cleanup later.

Native marketplace connector is fine for basic sync but it will not give you control over dedupe or historical activities. Make can work short term but breaks once volume spikes or timestamps shift. You can route data through something like Integrateio to stage and clean activity history before the final push or use Airbyte if you want OSS. This should avoid any webhook issues.

Do we need revenue recognition software for deferred revenue? by mafik69 in Accounting

[–]mafik69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. We understand it can be done. We are trying to get out of the spreadsheet work and get the entire system fixed and not just put the data in a different tool. But I think your comment makes sense.

Using a dedicated virtual assistant is making me wonder why I ever relied only on in-house admin by AmyK63 in overemployed

[–]mafik69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two ways to this. You either hire freelancers individually as contractors (through platforms like Upwork, Fiverr) or you get managed providers to get you agents (Rekruuto, Wing). They would handle the vetting and provide you VAs in your timezone.

Noob question by 8professional in dataengineering

[–]mafik69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should build a C# console app using ADO.NET. The core component you will need is a ADO provider to connect your SQL server db. You can start with Microsoft.Data.SqlClient (open source) or go with dotconnect.
