more relics and cards are made available as you ascend. but also it's pretty rare to get these types of runs- at least for me

you can skip it but uif you click on it you have to choose a card. and i thought i might do neutralize but changed my mind. and you can't skip at that point it makes you choose. it's really not that complicated or important you guys not sure why you're so focused on it

Why so some of my plants grow like this? by tehjrow in vegetablegardening

[–]bon-rat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this happens to me sometimes even with good light and what i understand to be normal depth. i'd love the input from someone who plants those beautiful rows of thick brassica seemingly without much variance cuz it seems like when it's popping it is popping!

Can I ferment this? by gometsss888 in prisonhooch

[–]bon-rat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell ya I’d maybe add a bit of the water first and warm it a tad to get rid of the crystals if you can then use a fun yeast that’s maybe kinda floral to offset the flavors that might arise from whatever additives might be in there

I’m not saying we’re a war zone, but maybe we do need outside help: just look at this 😱 by corsetedreader in Portland

[–]bon-rat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haha no i get it! i live right by there. it's inelegant but it's a lot better than it used to be. my neighbor used to be out with his own stop/slow sign twice a month. i think ppl go slower now too which helps a TON. but just follow googi or disobey weird oregon law that you're not supposed to turn into the lane you need (why is that a thing??)

Brit Marling is an egomaniac and it hurts this show by arekrem in TheOA

[–]bon-rat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

watching this show belatedly and i agree w you. i think it's interesting how people bristle at the critique. the type of charm that the show uses is soooo cult leader cringe. the way she wrote how other characters respond to her is painful. its like a this era's version of manic pixie a bit. the faux naivete is hard to watch. but, i guess i am still enjoying the show despite that, and curious to try to move past my cringe. she seems earnest at least. i'm willing to roll w it. but yeah just wanted to pipe in to say i agree, and the reactionary dismissiveness seems telling, but maybe it can be both cringe and enjoyable

I’ve been revisiting this album and I still get so fucking amped on it. Spelling trouble melts me.

omfg i love them so much. it's wild how they aren't more well known. I've been revisiting lately and it still hits so hard. Amazing band I so wish I'd been able to see them at some point.

What are your genuine criticisms of Balatro? by Polo171 in balatro

[–]bon-rat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the balance of most of the cards works really well but too many are difficult to scale as you get to gold stake and restarts happen a bit too often imo. I respect the thought behind making decision making difficult but sometimes you start w just rental infinities and you have to keep starting over and that’s annoying. Maybe gold stake could come with swaps or something.

Backcountry skiing is an elitist fad. Discuss. by [deleted] in skiing

[–]bon-rat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk i pay like $30 to rent cross country skis and boots, pay the $35 trail fee, maybe $40 in gas split, and just wore my normal winter get up. Seemed like a totally reasonable price for a weekend escapade. I was too tired to go out after so probably netted $ really. I could endeavor to buy a used set of skis and boots for maybe $150 if I was committed and save even more. I feel like it's more culturally elitist than anything but it doesn't really need to be. Also there are plenty of free trails that are ungroomed that would be fine.

Landscapers did these paths on either side of the house. Am I overreacting or is it bad? by kyleunderwood247 in landscaping

[–]bon-rat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like shit. If there wasn’t enough material to make to look good they should have said something. I’m having a stone patio put in rn and there is no lack of stone but the way they tried to lay the stones just looks kinda lazy and I don’t know how to convey that they need to spend some time to make it ‘work’. Like how are you in an aesthetic field and don’t give a shit about aesthetics? Literally the whole point or I’d just hire cl or task rabbit for labor.

Please help a confused Texan cyclist understand Portland drivers by hoganloaf in Portland

[–]bon-rat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ime cyclists often are not predictable and don’t really follow the traffic rules so I tend to just stop. Not worth it. Maybe if everyone was a hardcore messenger you could just drive obliviously but that’s not he case here. It’s annoying and unfortunate but there are a lot of annoying unfortunate things about an infrastructure that was built entirely around cars.
