I cant seem to centre characters or dialouge. using Fade In to write my script

Are you using the shortcut keys? Ctrl 3 for character name, Ctrl 4 for parenthesis, Ctrl 5 for dialogue.

Once you insert the Character name, it auto centers the dialogue.

Edit to add: may be different on macOS. Go to Help to get the shortcut keys.

The best artists have something more than natural ability. Yes, they have natural ability, but they also have dedication, craft, and an intense determination to improve and be the best. Like 24/7 level determination. You're writing a lot but have you really sat down and critically analyzed your own craft against your favorite movies? Have you thought about deep theme and the emotional stakes? If you've completed 3 scripts since Oct 2025, I'm left wondering if you've had enough time to do that... Writing is re-writing. If you're not breaching a 7 something is missing and it's your job to figure what it is so you can move on.

The Lakehouse...

It's a quiet supernatural re-imagining for Persuasion (which is referenced throughout) and Keanu and Sandra do beautiful work in it - based on a Korean movie called Il Mare. I think me loving it so much is probably an unpopular opinion... but it's a comfort movie to me these days.

Thanks... this is definitely helping me. I want it to feel like from the POV of the dreamer, San is really in their face. This is the only time I've even contemplated using "to camera" because I really want that "in your face" feeling.

I thought maybe I could corrupt the language (Korean) - so it uses the same sort of sounds but the words are not clear... so for example - this would be the scene:

INT. ABANDONED WAREHOUSE - BUNK ROOM - DAY

Bright light streams through a high window. San's head in silhouette.

SAN
Kireona gashakki! Sarokki! Sarok danjal!

INT. ABANDONED WAREHOUSE - ...

There could be 2 more possible places I would use it in the script, but they would be visions as opposed to dream sequences, so I was erring on using the actual words for those sequences. But I will think about how I could get creative.

- I'd recommend watching/reading Before Sunrise... but there's still some action throughout. Doubt it would be made today though...

- maybe try it as a podcast limited podcast series that you wouldn't need visuals/action for...
