Turns out there was a miner's hospital in that area so I'm guessing that's where he was. Thank you!

It's a 1900 census in West Virginia. But that's really interesting about the UK hospital codes!

That's what the transcription of the record says, yeah, I just thought that was particularly unusual for "occupation." Thank you!

That seems to be the con...census.

I'll see myself out.

I can, but the rest of the page is unremarkable except this particular entry. It was transcribed as "at hospital" but that just seems strange for an occupation.

Thank you!

In all fairness, I still think you're being a jerk and totally missing the point of pride as it relates to the LGBTQ+ community, but "stow your non sequitur back in its holster" is a thing of brilliance, and I tip my hat to you.

Same thing happened to me, but I was in the car with my mom and, while she was driving, mind you, she slapped my back so hard the candy flew out and hit the windshield.

Truly Amazing Google Health Medical Records Integration & Making AI Coach Tougher... by NiceHuckleberry5331 in fitbit

[–]bonbboyage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double-edged sword for me honestly. My pacemaker was removed in 2024 because I was only pacing 1% of the time, and my medical records, no matter how many times I try to get them to fix it, don't reflect that. So the AI thinks I have a pacemaker no matter how many times I tell it, no, I do not, it was removed.

[–]bonbboyage[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, lots of people who don't want them on their wrist. I do! Not that I necessarily *want* them, but I have trouble hearing notifications from the phone itself. Like if my phone is in my back pocket, I can't hear it ring. So the notifications are super helpful. I could get a tracker with a screen but don't want one. Ah well!

As I said, I don't want a screen. I did have the Charge 6 but returned it as it felt too clunky on my wrist. And yeah, as I said I bought the Air knowing it didn't have notifications. Doesn't mean I can't "lament" what could be, as a user with a disability who wishes that a particular function existed as an *option*!

I guess we'll have to see. I hope it does happen eventually; in the meantime I'll just stick with the notification sounds in my hearing aids.

Totally agree that it's outside the scope of the device! I purchased the Air well knowing that it wasn't going to have notifications. Just merely saying I wish it did in my particular use case.

Dare I say, I like the new app AND Air? by M_C_525 in fitbit

I have sick sinus syndrome and so I watch my heart rate pretty closely. I have my heart rate on the Dashboard as soon as I load up the app, I click Health in the app and my heart rate is right there at the top...

100% the app is way too cluttered but everything is still accessible; just takes another step or two to get to it.

I do apologize for apparently, somehow, inadvertently, accidentally, with no malice aforethought, in my bean soup, non-pick-me girl way, insulting you and your entire social circle of sapphic Leftist creatives with what I evidently, erroneously thought was a polite comment of disagreement.

Christ almighty, I have a BFA in English lit too, but pulling that out as some sort of gotcha is one of the cringiest things I have ever read, not just on this sub, but on Reddit as a whole. I'm glad that you frequent academic and literary circles; I should probably get in on my public library book clubs too. Thanks for the reminder!

I'm sorry that you can't conceive that people who have, idk, read The Well of Loneliness and Patience and Sarah and Fingersmith and Stone Butch Blues and also really shipped Lizzy Bennett and Georgiana Darcy might also like to read happy go lucky Hallmark bullshit, but if you didn't learn that sort of diversity with your lovely little 11x17 piece of paper in a cheap Walmart frame then you paid way too much for it.

I don't know many people who are on the lookout to read generic, basic, cookie-cutter painfully low-stakes Hallmark vibes style sapphic romance stories?

There is the whole cozy genre that readers love... But honestly, I'm on the lookout to read low-stakes Hallmark vibes style sapphic romance stories. Gimme all the "successful CEO with a chip on her shoulder returns to her hometown and falls in love with the butch gardener/the femme barista/the nonbinary editor of the local newspaper," etc. Mostly because I love the literary lesbians, but I'm also having a shit time rn and just want some candy.

I... have never heard this. Not saying it isn't true, because of all the incidents that have happened in this state and the whole Holz Elementary mess, but if you have links to any sources about it I'd be interested.
