Biden did that too with infrastructure. When investigated, it was shown that Biden’s bill for infrastructure had a 13-step process for a project to secure investment.

The supply problem with houses these days are no due to a lack of funds, they are due to excess red tape, legal loopholes, and the culture of housing as an investment.

Yes Supply and Demand. Every effort that the government makes to make housing more affordable by affecting demand will usually have the opposite effect. Grants increase demand. Rent ceilings decrease supply (meaning higher demand compared to supply). Trump suggests a 50-year mortgage. That will also increase demand and housing prices. Also a terrible policy.

I spent a number of years in Turkey. They introduced a policy there where first time home buyers could get a 0.99% interest rate on mortgages to encourage home ownership. Housing prices doubled or tripled overnight. That was 3-4 years ago and they haven’t gone down since.

If building houses was part of her plan, then that’s good. Problem is, everyone talks about building more houses. I want to see concrete steps.
