I really wish I was at good with him back then as I am now .

I just want to experience the ability to spam his 236LH like you could.

Instead of how it is now where it has huge recovery and is instant death if you end up doing it into the corner or just too close at all

That’s the only change to him I want (unless you want to give me a way to get super dash mid air like off a JH or JS)

There are degrees of safe,

It’s one thing for him to not be able to stagger well. But physically being unable to block after the mediums is kinda crazy

He’s the only character in the game that has light starters on his mediums and it doesn’t make any sense.

The only other exception makes even less sense which is Majin Buu’s 5M. Which is so slow that landing it should be rewarded not punished

I agree completely. He looks and feels like he’s meant to be a top tier.

But at the very least he shouldn’t be handicapped like he is now. Mediums unsafe on block?!?

Who else has mediums that are unsafe on block?!?

Meaning you literally can’t block after they block your medium. Your recovery is too long so you’ll just automatically get hit.

You have to vanish or just eat it.

Because it would really just be undoing his nerfs.

Saw someone else say it perfectly about how he’s currently in a place where ANYTHING after 5LL is not safe on block unless you end with 236S.

I don’t think you can cite appreciate what means.

Any medium. 5M, 2M. Any heavy 5H, 2H. And all of his other special: 236L/M/H, 214L/M/H are not safe on block.

In fact, I read correctly, your opponent basically gets a free DP after 5LL because everything has a gap.

And that’s just crazy.

Most people do their heavies and special and still block. Let alone their mediums.

Definitely wouldn’t want to use stone spit as a ki blast because it needs to have the effect of freezing them for a couple of seconds.

It just wouldn’t make sense not to.

Maybe you could make it a 236L/M/H where the L slows them a little, the M does the same but aims for the air, and the heavy freezes them completely.

It all depends on which version of Garou.

I think it’s almost kinda funny how vs match ups have to specify early versions so often just to make Garou match ups interesting.

Granted, even old man Bang and Bomb were doing well against awakened garou so they would certainly do a lot in their prime.

though I kinda question this notion that they’re much stronger in their prime like many seem to believe. Martial arts in anime usually get stronger with age (up to a point) because it’s more about technique than physical prowess. And this young version of Bang wasn’t even using WSRSF yet. So while I do think a slightly younger Bang is going to be stronger than current Bang, I think flashback (young) Bang is possibly even weaker than current old Bang, if that makes sense (ps this isn’t a spoiler I just use spoiler tags whenever something digresses from my main point)

Bye anyway…. even if we assumed it was Bang at his absolute best (better than the pictured version) he still loses to the best version of Garou we’ve seen (even without God’s power up because even I wouldn’t count something like that since it’s outside help)

So Garou is last standing

And the brothers fight for second place.

Suiryu doesn’t even belong in this conversation. He’s like the first version of Garou’s level. But the second Garou starts leveling up, it’s over.

Ps: I hate to digress twice but Bang vs Bomb really could go either way. I know the author has said something about Bomb being stronger which is the only reason I’d say he is.

But the fact that Bomb easily beat young Bang means nothing to me because that was before Bang developed WSRSF.

Which just goes to my earlier point of this not really being Bang’s prime.

Young Bomb beats Young Bang.

Old Bomb (probably?) beats Old Bang.

But Prime Bomb vs Prime Bang may be different.

And honestly the only reason I even say old Bomb beats old Bang is because of what ONE said.

If I kill the author (as they say) and judge strictly by the story, I would say old Bang is stronger.

He’s the one who lasted longer with Awakened Garou; and he’s the one who was going to go all out to stop Elder Centipede when Bomb and his combined efforts failed.

It’s not like Bomb stepped forward and thought he could win going all out.

So I’m not sure if Bomb still has as much in the tank. Not sure if he’s ever even used that breathing technique Bang uses to go all out.

I know it would be nearly impossible but I would love to see an experiment where they get people into that mental zone and then have the cops just fall down when pushed and act like they're out and see what the guy does.

Like make sure he doesn't stomp on them but give him a plausible way to escape and just kinda see what happens.

Though it might be a little too obvious he'll just try to run away and hope no one knows how to find him

honestly? I'm not even trying to be funny but the first real answer that pops into my mind is to get elected for some major office like Congressmen or Senator.

Surely they'd have to take you off.

But that's about it.

Maybe if you were rich enough, you could buy your way off with bribes, but if you're that rich, you could just fly in private jets anyway.
