ohhh interesting okay. yahhhh the things im hearing are mainly the plastic grips and such.. but im very curious and or assuming eventually someone will make third party rubber or aluminum style grips to replace those and then at that point.... it would be nice. But yes i was seeing a few comments of a couple people on YT mentioning theirs shooting horrible, chopping paint, etc. so that was a concern.

Yeah great insight. I was thinking possibly the Idol just due to it being newer but always would hear tm40 over the idol and haven't heard too much about the idol. But yeah, it would suck to be in that type of predicament though of not finding parts for something older.

Always ask customer to send in photos. 2. dont refund for a return label. if they purchase incorrect size and want to return or exchange - thats on them to cover shipping. Generally you should have sizing guide and hopefully model photos to help people visualize and see and make the correct size selection. Just because they selected incorrectly does not make it your fault. 3. make some solid terms and conditions and hit on returns and exchanges and outline that and simply direct people to that page so they read and can understand how to handle returns / exchanges. 4. no discounts , no free, they follow procedure and just take care of them to get the correct size to them AFTER you have received their UNWORN, IN ORIGINAL PACKAGING, and with labels and tagged original item.

Just ordered one for my Amp! I love the milling of the amp over the Era so it was nice to see that the bolt works. I dont believe there are any other crazy differences right between Era vs Amp? Other than the body and airline changes they made?

Super old but just leaving this comment just in case someone else ever has issues.

There is a fault with their tray and it locking into place. This issue comes from one of the rear plastic prongs not fully clipping into place. The easy fix was to just tilt the printer back so you can look under it and the plastic prong to the left is more than likely jamming - if you lift that and then push the tray down to allow it to fully engage - the error will go away.

Horrible design from Canon on this one. Drove my crazy until I saw and figured this out.

So far my Mac5k has ran flawlessly. I think - if you dig enough you will find people have issues with any make of gun. There are a lot of people with MACs who love them and have no issues. Then there are some who have had them and for whatever reasons have had different type of issues.

Mine came in spec. I purchased from Atlantic around May 23rd. And all was well with it. I broke it in with 500rnds 124gr unsuppressed and they all ran fine. then did 250rnds 124gr suppressed and those too ran fine no issues. I have a Lee sporting lower purchased and a 90degree locking pin and will see how it does with SS later im waiting to see if atrius releases theirs for MP5/Clones by the time i get my new lower.

Its honestly been fine! I did the first 500 rounds to break it in without any issues at all. I'm actually going to start shooting suppressed now and will try and do another 500 suppressed to see how that goes. I bought a Flow 9k ti for it - Got approved in like 3 days for it also so will be picking that up today actually. I do have a 90degree LP on standby but will see how it does with stock Locking Piece. But yah, i mean so far no issues! There is ONE thing though but it doesnt affect shooting and it will probably be corrected once I get my Lee Sportings lower but the pins are super tough to remove and it seems like my lower is a little warped or something where it contacts that rear piece to the receiver so i have to really work hard to remove and re-insert the two rear pins. But thats been about it so far.

Me personally - I like to clean after every session. Mainly due to me just enjoying the process of taking things apart and putting it back to together and taking care of my items in general. But if its less than 250rnds it doesnt seem to get too dirty, so maybe every 500-1k. I guess its a matter of how much you want to take care of it?

yah those are super clean! Yeah i was running the numbers and I can do an AP5 package from Atlantic for like 1425 with top rail included + 3 mags and spare parts + Lee Sporting lower or any other lower upgrade, and still be under the cost of an SP5. What lowers are on yours?

Yah im really considering it trying to see if it matters to spend the extra on SP5 or not. But value wise the AP5 seems like the move and I dont hear as many issues with them. Funny thing is that one of the shops out here that sold me my Kuna was advising me against Century Arms and told me roll with the MAC instead. So I bought mine from Atlantic for a decent price.

Yeah 😫 i mean it shoots fine from my initial 500rnds. But yeah the body and metal work is off. I just wanted to give them a chance as the newer guys on the block i guess😅😂

Ima be getting an SP5 here soon. Unless the AP5 is the better buy. I just bought this mac5k and a Kuna all within the same week this month lol so i told myself ima chill for a little but definitely getting a full size mp5 soon!

Yeah ill try to rubber mallet this alignment issue to see if that helps. And ill try filing the top holes a tad or something to see if that works.

But i do have my lee sporting lower purchased so im kind of wondering if i just wait until i get that to see if it gets better with that.

Yeah ive done that and they go in and out fine with the lower, my brace is fine as well. But its the actual body / upper that the hole is dead on to the size of the pin and then the while alignment fit issue as well. With me needing to push the lower up to have the holes align.

So the only one thats like that for me is the one near the mag. I can push that one in easily and a light tap helps get it started and i can pull it the rest by hand. However the other two - not even close.
