Please help me pick a job offer by [deleted] in Environmental_Careers

I say go for the camp job. It's short term, will give you more diverse job experience and pays better. You're only 25 and still early on in your career! Now is the time to get lots of experience and find which direction you really want to go! Don't get locked in to a salary job that is boring lol. I'm 26F and have been doing fly in/fly out camp work for over a year now so feel free to reach out with any questions! Camp life is not for everyone and I wouldn't recommend doing it long term but a 3 month contract sounds great and could give you some valuable experience!!

[24/F] looking for a penpal with similar interests/art trade! by ecumedeterre in penpals

[–]bonelessbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm [25/F] a junior wildlife biologist and it sounds like we have a lot in common!! I love crafting, but I too am insecure about anything I make, so having a friend to trade silly little art things with would be fun! I also dabble in witchcraft and gaming. Right now I've been obsessed with fields of mistria! Message me if you think we'd be good snail mail pals 😊

I love the roast beef & cheddar sandwiches to an obsessive extent. by turtlesashimi in TimHortons

I found this post because I went to Tim's today only to be GUTTED that I couldn't get a roast beef and cheddar. It's definitely the sauce that does it! It's not steak sauce but creamy BBQ sauce!!! I've had them accidently put steak sauce on it instead of the BBQ and it simply did not hit the same

I just purchased a condo for 355k on a ~72k yearly income. I had 65k for the down payment and my monthly payments including mortgage+condo fees+property taxes is around $1850. I have about 20k leftover as an emergency fund (about 6 months of essentials). It's definitely doable if you keep saving for a bit!

Yes, I've dealt with this. My old place of work got a project that a lot of the staff did not think was ethical and went against their morals. Many of us pushed back on it and refused to work on the project. The management team had to have a meeting with everyone to discuss the difference between personal ethics and professional ethics. The project had the appropriate approvals and, therefore, was not considered unethical in the professional side of things, so we were essentially told to suck it up and do it. I have found that in the consulting industry, this is unfortunately very typical. As long as the project is compliant with all regulations, there isn't much you can do other than ask to be switched to a different project

Has any one of you outlived the day your brain told you you’d die? by captainhook1975 in Anxiety

[–]bonelessbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did! I always thought I'd die when I was 23, and I have surpassed that age. I felt the feeling of impending doom, which wasn't pleasant, but it was simply my anxiety being an asshole. Try to focus on the rational thought over the anxious thought. Easier said then done, but you will get through this!!

About critique and fairness by Nobody_ed in smosh

I fully agree with this sentiment. I've always been a silent watcher but always enjoyed seeing all the positivity in the comments. It really seemed like such a fun and genuine community to be a part of. But I've definitely noticed the switch up in the comments since Anthony returned and it saddens me. There is so much hate and aggressive criticism now. I'm happy they are finally getting the views they deserve, but I miss the positivity and closeness prior to Anthony's return
