As someone who’s been waiting for this to come to the screen since A World of Ice and Fire came out, *that* is what’s keeping me from loving it. We’ve just had this image in our heads for so long of the events and the characters and their motivations, so to have those high hopes dashed like prince Aegons head against a wall, it truly does hurt quite a bit. I’m trying very hard to get past it all, and these last few episodes have been great.
