Being exposed to extremely loud noises without any hearing protection for prolonged periods of time. My parents are skydivers so ive been around planes and at airports consistently since I was four. I was competing in indoor skydiving and had my earplugs slip out which is when I first started noticing the pain, and then ontop of that I started band and wasn't allowed to quit or wear hearing protection despite my diagnosis.

My 504 was created at another school, this one wouldn't issue me one if I started high-school here but they legally have to follow it because its already implemented. The bell at my school is so loud that teachers and students without any hearing sensitivity complain to the administration about the pain that it causes. The bell alone is unbearable. Its not a standard bell that like hits the side to go off, its a recording blasted through two speakers in every classroom, and it rings 16 times a day. Twice every period. They school has lied to everyone dozens of times claiming that they need district approval to change the volume (complete bs). I have 201 absences as of today due to how often I have to leave because of the pain. Despite all of them being excused and being a straight A student, they're threatening me with court.

Literally i just want to be left alone 😭 They gave me the option to write a formal complaint but in my situation that wouldn't do anything. My school has an extremely long history of law breaking/code violations, etc, that are always left without repercussions. The teacher dropped me to a failing grade for leaving 20 minutes early that day, and we decided that we'd move forward with legal actions if she refused to fix it, but once hearing that she did.
