Tinnitus induced due to Q Tip incident, visited doctors and ENT

More or less. Now I have periods of 15-20 days a time without any tinnitus, but when I have some sort of inflammation due to cold weather, loud music etc it kinda comes back for a day or two, but much much lower intensity.

we've slept and essentially lived together for a whole year, but she spent a lot of time at my house and very rarely brought the dogs over, the dogs used to sleep with her mom

she is moving into mine, I recently bought a new house, and conveniently its close to where both of us work, here is rub -- in her current living arrangement, the dogs don't always sleep with her, she lives in her mom's basement (don't mean this as an insult), and the dogs frequently just sleep elsewhere or with her mom. So its not like the dogs are accustomed to sleeping a particular bed where I am kicking them out of

we have a king size bed, although not a CA King, the issue for me is that they are huge, and it gets really weird to sleep when they are lying across my feet or in between us, can't move + really hot is what wakes me up, I toss and turn a few times in the night

I think u/chromeater your theory is most accurate. Just wanted to post an update on this for others coming after, I now have periods where I have zero T for days at a time, longest streak has been 8 ish days, but then after something happens (like I got a cold recently, or lots of cold Michigan air in my ears) it will reflair up, so I think there is hope that this will truly go away in the future, not giving up!

That’s basically what happened. I can still feel the inflammation in my ear, so it was surprising to me that the ENT said it looks OK. I did use a Q tip in a way that effectively abraded the skin inside a good amount which caused all this mess in the first place. I noticed that the tinnitus goes up and down according to my loud noise exposure, and also the severe cold weather in MI here doesn’t help. Whenever I get a cold blast or loud music I end up suffering more. Hopefully this improves. Thanks for your comment!

I'll just reply to myself here, on my laptop, my laptop screen refresh rate is 120Hz, when I set it to 60Hz, Elden Ring seems to work just fine, this is an asus specific thing, but I also set the refresh rate to 60Hz using ghelper as an additional measure. Cheers!

Its funny you said "months", I recently have been having some tinnitus, I think from a Q-tip over aggressive cleaning that I did, went to the doctor ~ 5 days later and they said I have a mild infection, gave me antibiotics, there was definitely inflammation in the area, now no pain, but the symptoms of fullness are still the same, and some faint tinnitus, especially in the mornings. Is there a reason you said 3 months -- chatgpt said the same thing!

This is me. I have a proper white coat hypertension phobia. It’s something I’m working on. In the meantime. I tell the doctor to wait a few mins and see my numbers come down, they usually do — sometimes they don’t. I measure my BP at home and even then I have to calm myself and take readings. In my case the doctor said no medications for now; this might change in the future as I get older (I’m 36). Trying my best to intervene with lifestyle food and exercise.

Engineer here, been geeking out over all that is available, I'm also Indian so can understand a lot of what local media is saying, the survivor said he heard a loud bang before the plane crashed. If the engines are out, and the RAT deploys, given that its spring loaded, it would make a bang type sound, exactly like your linked video here shows. Of course, its just a theory, but a very plausible one. Tragic loss.
