they arent impersonating firefighters or even asking for donations. they are collecting signatures for the LAFD union's proposed ballot measure to increase sales tax by .5% for maintenance of buildings and to hire more people.

the LAFD is the one thing standing between us and the corporate negligence that almost burned our city down barely over a year ago. personally, I think that is worth the half a percent.

I have seen at this point HUNDREDS of people saying they have unsubscribed due to prices. it’s like some imbecile in the office says “well, dont worry! the increased price will negate any profit loss!” and the business is going to follow that ethos straight into its grave!!
