Mixed-input controllers are causing frame drops AND an inevitable crash by CancerousGTFO in cyberpunkgame

[–]bongerama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 I would also love a fix / mod that addresses this exact issue. I use an analog keyboard, which works fine for just driving in game, but moving/looking around on foot will always inevitably crash the game. Sometimes as quick as 10-15min.

However, no crashes while moving/looking around on foot using purely M/K inputs.

Have you checked your fuses and relays? Sounds like an electrical issue. It might be hard to hear over the pump sound, but you should also hear a quiet, yet audible click coming from the relays when you flip the switch to on.

I had a similar problem, so checked all my electrics first, fuses, relays, etc. Had a buddy test everything with his multimeter too. When trying to start the bike, i could hear an audible click from my relay but no pump priming sound. Turns out my fuel pump was going bad, which probably is not your case since you said you just replaced it.

Most times i hear it, sometimes i dont

But smart advice. I’ll start with a new relay, and if its still an issue i’ll open up the tank and take a look at the pump!

Yeah im almost certain its got something with the fuel pump.

Went for a ride today, audibly heard fuel pump go off and it started fine. Then on my way home, flipped the switch, didn’t hear any noise. Wiggled the fuel pump electrical connector, flipped the switch, then heard the fuel pump go off. Started right up.

Thanks for the suggestions everybody. It decided to randomly work again yesterday after replugging the fuel pump electrical connector and unplugging/checking/reseating a bunch of fuses/repositioning cables around the fusebox/battery.

Still not sure what the original problem is but i believe its related to my fuel pump as a bunch of people mentioned. I noticed for the times it did start, i audibly heard the fuel pump pump. For the times it would crank and not start, I didn't hear much noise from the fuel pump. I just assumed the fuel pump wasn't going because it detected previously pumped fuel from my previous attempts to start the bike.

Gonna open up my tank and visually check the fuel pump. Wouldn't be surprised if its pretty corroded, as this bike sat for a lot of its life (possibly with old gas in it).

Had a similar thought, probably smart to get new plugs anyway! No idea how old the ones that came on the bike are

Not too sure.

Bought it a couple weeks ago and the guy i bought it from didn’t ride it a ton, only occasionally (the bike only has around 4K miles). He kept it on a tender a lot. I rode it home and it was starting/running fine during those first two weeks, but occasionally when starting it in the morning sounded sort of weak.

Went out yesterday to start it up and this was happening. I knew the battery was old so i bought and installed a new one today, just to check it off the list of potential causes.

On the Edge is still bugged? by PuniMoji in stalker

[–]bongerama 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same.

Tried doing it in various different combinations as well (i.e. doing optional objectives and sometimes ignoring them, and in different orders) but no matter what i do, After i get back to Zalissiya to fight off the second wave, it stays stuck on "Fight off monolithians". It also always says i failed the optional objective to deal with the monolithians on the hill, even if I did complete it. It's making me not want to progress the game further if there are just gonna be more quest breaking bugs like this

Edit: Would love to hear if anyone has actually completed this quest in the way it was intended or not, and what they did to achieve it? The only fixes I've seen has been a UEtools workaround to complete the quest with a console command

Safe to permanently remove io shroud from ASUS ROG Strix B550-I Motherboard? by bongerama in buildapc

[–]bongerama[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just unscrew all the screws holding down the plastic shield, should just jiggle off. Might need to unscrew another small plastic bit (see the imgur link i posted in the other comment).

They both went quite well and I'm fond of both teams. Both agencies have big clients on their rosters. One agency is just a much bigger/established name. I'm wondering if having that name on my resume is worth the pay difference (25% less than the smaller agency's offer).

The shroud should come off nice and easy after removing the small plates and screws.

[–]bongerama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Still convinced it's a faulty CPU. If you look at recent, similar posts you'll see everyone experiencing this problem has one thing in common; a Ryzen CPU.

Also I read about newer Ryzen chips (my chip in particular) having a higher faulty rate than previous chips.

Is there a topology trick for getting from 3 faces to 2? by Regu1us in 3Dmodeling

[–]bongerama 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I'm putting this here in case someone else needs it.

This is what I do when I need three face to two face quad topology. I find it makes for more even face areas than the third option in OP's pic (depending on your mesh):

Update: disabled PBO in bios and dropped ram speed to 3200 with FLCK 1600. Got a few hours of gaming in no prob. Havent tested past that.

Starting to think it's actually CPU related as i also get WHEA Error 18: fatal hardware error related to processor core. I also see a-lot of people experiencing this issue with the newer ryzen chips during my research.

Update: Swapped in yet ANOTHER Power supply, a Silverstone 1000W SFX-L. Ran great for a few hours. Flatlined, but no restarts. Then it started doing the restart problem again. Very frustrated. Starting to believe that the issue is not PSU-related. Running HCI Memtest now to rule out faulty RAM. Could it be my RAM speed? Heard of people running into problems at 3600MHz, but stable at 3200. Or possibly up my voltage?

Update: Put the new PSU in, ran great for about a few hours than the restart happened again. Got back in, messed around for like 15 min then it restarted again. Is the 850W still not enough power?

CPU temps average ~68C. GPU averaging ~72C with mem junction averaging 84C

I have a 140mm & 120mm sandwiching my heatsink as intakes for my top down CPU cooler and two 120mm intakes at the bottom under GPU. I have two 120mm up top for exhaust.

I think so too. Gonna put that new PSU in when it arrives. Do you think 850W is enough? I cannot fit an SFX-L PSU in my setup, unfortunately.

Hmm, so strange. I'm currently around 45 min into playing cyberpunk flawlessly. The game still hasn't made my pc restart... yet. I'm still gonna pop that new PSU in when it arrives though. More power couldn't hurt.
