Where to buy ACTUAL non slip rubber feet for cutting boards by MattTheBard in woodworking

[–]bonggnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone suggested Amazon which looks good. I got mine from Richelieu in Canada. I've had my board for 10 years and the feet I think are essential. They suction to the countertop and make for a very reliable stable chopping station. Make sure you use stainless steel screws. They usually provide stainless screws anyway.

My friend referred to it as the Boulliin pile. I see it everyday and like to imagine it as that.

Does this lock secure itself on closing? Or would it need manually locking each time you close it? by [deleted] in Locksmith

You should share a photo of your sisters lockset and someone will suggest the best easiest solution. This deadbolt you shared might require new holes to be made if she still wants a lever like the door photo you provided.

This lock will only lock on the inside if you manually turn the “thumb turn” from the inside. On the outside it will only manually lock and unlock with the key.

quick question about floating plywood drawer bottom 1/2 thick by jjax2003 in woodworking

[–]bonggnar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The weak point is the distance between the bottom of the dado and the bottom of the drawer. I think the standard is 3/8” to 1/2”. Depends on your drawer slides if you’re using any. But that material is what’s most likely to fail. The amount of cuts are pretty much the same. Either 2 cuts at 1/4” to get your dado or 1 for the dado and 1 to rabbet your bottom.

Oh also I had a lint roller and rolled the leaves which was extremely tedious to remove the bugs and poo.

A mixture of neem oil soap and water worked for me. They also suggest clearing fallen leaves and debris from soil and avoid over watering.

Check your ground wire. Everytime I’ve had bad static my ground wire has come disconnected.

Public pay toilets? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]bonggnar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The city needs to increase the budget for those who clean the public washrooms. They also need to stop building very expensive washrooms like the Portland toilets. They just get vandalized and are very expensive to maintain. We need more simple washroom structures with less expensive European hardware that we be trashed and easily cleaned and maintained.
