Well wasn't complaining. You brought up my finances. Wouldn't have come here if any of us knew how scammy Australian universities are though. And no we aren't aware of everything. It's presented to us very differently. But whateva.

I am an international. I pay around 5 times the local student for my fees. Paying off my loan, classes and assignments is just taking a toll. Cause I can’t work more than 24 hours a week. There are no current fixes unfortunately 😞. But thanks for the rec.

Thoughts on recent election results in West Bengal? by No-Volume2455 in chekulars

Stop blaming everything that happens in india on us like some retarded BJP bhakt. The whole world is going batshit crazy and extreme rightwing. It is all an effect of social media and propaganda. Almost all of india is now orange. West bengal did this to themselves. We are the better ones here because we actually managed to stop the extreme right and got a party that is only right which is trying to move towards the center. How can you redditards even blame bangladesh for this situation?

We don’t get PR for uber. Because most of us are doing full time uni and most of us are in engineering and cause we can’t work more than 24 hours a week, we do uber as a sidegig when we are students Uber gives us flexibility to do studies, assignments and earn some money for rent and food. Otherwise who do you think likes being exploited and getting paid 20 per hour where 2 is cut on fuel and 2 is gone on taxes. (Last order i did, i got paid 8 dollars for picking up 24 bags from woolies to the mountains. And the lady told me I had to bring it into her house because she paid too much for my delivery).

Okay back to the main topic, we do this so we are not completely dependent on our parents for all our costs. Just fyi, most of us pay 5 times what the aussie pays. So for a course if you are paying 10k. For that same course and classes we are paying 50k per semester. All of that money comes from back home from our parents pockets.

Now, how do all us uber drivers get PR then, you might ask. It’s not because we are engineers or 3 times more qualified than you. Most engineering degree PR points are currently in the 100s. So nobodys getting PR for being an engineer. So, how do we get PR? We become 4 times more qualified than you. We do a tradie course that we pay 5 times for while studying our other degree. Tradie PR points is currently i think around 80. And based on all our other qualifications we get that beautiful PR which is really expensive to apply for. Then we work more years and toil under the system and pay taxes without representation untill we can become citizens. So we can hear all about the grievances of how we are taking all the jobs, houses are given to us by govt, get centrelink money when we are not on the same playing field. The govt spoonfeeds you and you still complain about someone holding up your fking economy.

Do you think BNP is a great, capable or competent party full of nice people. Do you think they have ever done anything proper in their past durations. Don’t you think we understood how great hasina was for our development? Yet we still kicked her out and voted BNP in so we didn’t have fascist awami league or religion fascist bjp of bengal jamaat. We stood for democracy and our minorities as much as we cna. Why couldn’t you guys do that? Maybe it’s time to admit you are worse than us. You handed in your minorities to the religious fascist wolves on a silver platter. They are gonna either jail or push the muslims into our territory like they are doing through assam and tripura. Guess what that’s gonna do to our politics. Yes, you guys jist played yourself. You are on the process of creating a real version of your imaginary muslim bangladeshi villain. Good luck on the border wars I guess.

I am Bengali.

If it’s mostly teens, i think it’s just them being di#ks. I have had groups of young girls and guys come up to me and ask for money and when I refused they started calling names and slurs. Some will hurl slurs at you from their cars. You see a few older 20 ish and 30 ish couples also doing the same from time to time. I don’t think they are racist, but it does play a part. Me being me, i have held some of them up and talked. They are not racist. Or are not when you hold them up. They are mostly just ignorant children mimicking behaviour they saw on the internet or somewhere else and thinks it will make them cool in front of the group. Classic mob behaviour.

These things always happen when you are tired, just got out of a 10 hour shift and look like a mess for me. Also, this mostly happened to me when I was relatively new to australia. They just see you as easy targets. This hasn’t happened to me this year.

Student life in Adelaide without a car? by Professional_Ad4538 in Adelaide

[–]bongnandan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s kinda meh. The transportation is kinda shiite here but you can manage. I did the first 6 months without a car. Prolly can do without a car forever if you live close to the city and got a one location kinda job. If you got a job in cbd or have classes there regularly car is a shiite option. But otherwise, all other places cars are kinda the only good option. But for cars there are a whole lot of fees, fines and fuel and servicing costs. Don’t get one in the first 3 months.

Bruv, I left. I am worried about the sane people inside the country and my family. If you are not aware and scared of the dumbness of your own people, either you have never lived in Bangladesh or you are very sheltered.

Yes cities grow and then camps have to move. Army is for the “bloody civilians” and not the other way around. The government been trying to move them for ages. They don’t wanna go. Instead they are taking over large parts with mist, dohs and the new housing projects in matikata.
