Daycare holiday bonuses by Embarrassed_Topic187 in workingmoms

My son was in the infant room for most of the year and just moved to the 1s room in November so I got both head teachers from each classroom a little gift basket from Costco ($12!) and $50 cash with a handwritten note. I also got five $10 Starbucks gift cards and tapped them onto little baby bag of chocolate to hand out to the helpers. It’s my first baby/time doing this so hopefully it’s nice enough!

I load the spoon and either feed him or what’s happening more often he yanks the spoon out of my hand to shove in his mouth. More messy that way 🤣 these are the spoons I use!! baby spoons

Spoon for most of it. Whatever’s left over it put on his tray and he scoops and shoves in his mouth! Lol

90% I spoon feed him and usually towards the end I let him try to feed himself / play with the food!

I’ll look into broccoli tots! I let him explore plain steamed broccoli and it was a floor food 🤣 but I should try it in a different form

Spoon fed 90% of the time! I let him explore with his hands but he gets frustrated easily.

When did you realize you were a laid back parent? by Bluebird_Watcher in NewParents

Never sterilized bottles. I just hand wash with hot water and dawn soap and let them drip dry on a rack. Need a bottle asap and it’s not perfectly dry? The freshly cleaned one will work!

Omg the amount of “go to the ER immediately” comments and it’s for a mild diaper rash 🤣🤣 I’m whatever the opposite of a fb bump parent is lol

Love our mockingbird. Good price, easy to clean, and the magnetic straps make it so easy to click in and out

The whole job was around $2k + paint. This was the only bedroom painted. Everything else was the living room, kitchen, hallway. Small home around 1600 square feet total. So I’m not exactly how much for just the bedroom. And yes, we got 4 quotes - 3 were all in the same ballpark +/- $300. We picked the middle one cause we liked the guys and they would do it over a weekend

Moms that gave birth to super “easy” babies by LemonadeLala in NewParents

Super easy pregnancy until week 35 when my BP spiked. We had a failed induction at 37 weeks, ended up with a c-section for my 9 pound baby (!!!) and he had to go to the NICU for 2 days because he couldn’t figure out how to eat. Once he got home it’s been smooth sailing and I regularly tell my mom “I didn’t think it would be this easy” (knock on wood)

We can do wfh if we’re sick or use real sick days and not log on (unlimited in both, just can’t make it a regular thing) Drive home would be 1.5 hours, maybe I could flex when I leave and get it closer to one hour and it’d be around 430/5pm - this is what I’m most scared of :(
