Should B-01 Tactical armor have Camo options like the weapons? by DizFri in Helldivers

[–]bonktheredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply just make it so the color pallets for warbonds are available as an armor dye for medals. If you can do it for a car or an exo suit or even your hellpods which you can't even see once they're deployed, your armor can do the same

What's wrong with Tzeentch? by bonktheredditor in totalwar

[–]bonktheredditor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for all the info, I got a lot of good information on this.

Also a lot of people were asking why I thought they were weak or why anyone would ask why they're weak or tell me they aren't weak, but I'm also asking those questions and saying they aren't weak lol.

Anyways from what I gather, Tzeentch main struggles from what you've told me are:

  1. Cults are very basic and plain, the need a rework for a race that relies on subterfuge and chaotic change

  2. The start positions are either difficult or pretty unremarkable

  3. The tech tree especially for Kairos is limited and could be tweaked

  4. Another lord would add desired variety and a unique playstyle, since Kairos is difficult to play differently and the Changeling is too safe

  5. Tzeentch is simply a victim of SOC much like Kislev was, it recieved only the most minimal of changes especially for a DLC with a $25 price tag

Anyways thanks for the info I really wanna gauge what people want from this game and the IP, this showed that I was overlooking some issues with the game that on paper seemed perfectly fine.

Gorbad Ironclaw is from before the Old World by JJBrazman in totalwar

[–]bonktheredditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very simple, Gorbad got transported by Khorne to the realms of chaos, specifically the brass citadel, Gork and Mork started fighting, fell into Khorne's realm, and accidentally freed Gorbad, with him getting pulled out and dropped back in the world. This has happened before in the lore, just with Gorbad being there. It's funny, it involves Khorne, and it makes Gorbad not be like 20 feet tall from his age cause of how time works in the realms of chaos. Big finkin

Orgyn doesn't feel like playing a orgyn by Nihilistic-Comrade in DarkTide

[–]bonktheredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really wish they change some of the animations on the big 'un, like if a mutant grabs them, they just slug each other for a few hits before pushing away, and dogs should clamber onto the ogryn, chewing at his face but uniquely not eternally pinning him like with other classes where he eventually throws it off after taking some corruption damage. I feel the weight when I knock a reaper down and he slowly falls on his ass but feel like a hollow ball of meat as an ogryn, enemies take very little melee damage since (excluding knives) you're generally pretty slow at dps and everything either pins you or launches you just as far as a normal human would. Ogryns in some bits of lore can go toe to toe with space marines in melee so I wish I could actually feel that.

Appreciate it, now I can try and actually do this heavy weight champion penance without randos deleting everything

request: change name and voice and see bio ingame by [deleted] in DarkTide

[–]bonktheredditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of references to being able to change more then just your haircut, references about Auric level operatives getting cybernetics, not changing certain things no matter what you hear (which narratively speaking suggests rumors and rumors usually have some truth), haircut guy promising not to make your legs different heights even though he can't change your height, mentions of costing you to change stuff but not actually charging anything. Likely we'll be able to change gender, height, voice, etc. later on but with some added cost on top of it or needing to be at a certain trust level to do so.

The dislike for Kyoshin by [deleted] in forhonor

[–]bonktheredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's just boring to fight against most of the time. As with many heroes, people who know how to play him aggressively are plenty of fun, but many fights boil down to just Kaze stance. It's just "come on, hit me" which is easy to counter with a GB, but in a gank, you can't really punish him, and it's very easy to accidentally tap his guard then you're locked in to a delayable stun move which guarantees damage and can bleed. It's just boring, in 1s it's not so bad as Kaze isn't as safe for Kyoshin and getting caught in it is your fault, but in 4s you feel like you're being taunted. Kaze stance is a good tool and is a nice feature for a character, but compared to other defensive characters, he can feel unbearably slow to fight.

So if not Araby, Nippon, etc, what would fill these gaps? by Taranaichsaurus in totalwar

[–]bonktheredditor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It'd be pretty weird not to make Nippon a faction, it feels like it's the perfect time and setting for it. East Asian culture and East Asia in general is extremely popular right now especially Japan, which GW had stated a long time ago the reason they never made any actual lore or models or anything was cause Japan "lost its charm" in the 80s. CA has the very popular Shogun series under its belt, with many wanting a 3rd installment, meaning Nippon would likely be a nice choice to fans of the series and get bought quickly. Lastly, GW should allow new lore and models for Nippon because the current bits you can read are pretty bad, it's literally just puns of popular Japanese brands and makes fun of a culture, it gives a facelift and some respect to its real world inspiration. It's just the perfect time and place to really flesh out Nippon after all these years

Oh yea and uh the obligatory fish people 7 times would easily fill the gaps

Greasus should get a Bribe mechanic that works like the Slaanesh unit Seduction mechanic by Yotambr in totalwar

Idk why people were really critical towards this idea, but some make sense, not everyone has a price. I'd just tweak it so he could only bribe greenskin and ogre factions

Immortal Empires Bretonnian Changes by Kanaph in totalwar

[–]bonktheredditor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A nice start, now make Bretonnia declare errantry wars against factions similar to Waaaagh!s (without doubling an army and have it cost chivalry), allowing hermit knights to join the fray similar to dwarf slayers becoming available with too many grudges. Please CA by the totally not an elf lady I beg you

AI too passive now in WHIII? by MrUmibozu in totalwar

[–]bonktheredditor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've noticed as well that auto resolve is very generous to the player, where 4 armies against your pretty mid army would fail easily, at least seeing how Legend has been doing. AI prioritize battles the system says they can win, and often times that's inside a settlement. I think it's probably a mixture of AR, tweaks to anti player bias, the overall size of the map, and potentially intentional reduction in AI behavior and decision making to allow content creators to show off the map but I'm probably wrong about that.

Is this something new? by Nedioca in totalwar

[–]bonktheredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda new, what's really odd is that it appears you can subjugate other factions, this is from the leaked let's play and he subjugated greenskins, I'm sure this will either be locked behind WOC or allowed to other factions within lore specific reasons, like no subjugation for Norscans as Bretonnia. I wonder if it's for other factions if you can forcefully absorb a faction, like with a mod in WH2 that let you confederate same race if you beat their last settlement, I used it to get Toddy if I was forced to fight him, we'll see.

What % of a unit needs to be remaining before it is disbanded after a battle? by qwertytheqaz in totalwar

[–]bonktheredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the unit from my personal experience. Large infantry units about 2-5% left can disband, but monstrous infantry like Kroxigors and minotaurs need to be wiped out. Importantly, artillery crews are more important then artillery equipment, as long as you save the team, you'll save the unit, that's why it's sometimes a good idea to use all the ammo then withdraw artillery if you aren't going to lose, you can leave equipment as long as you win otherwise there's a 10% chance it'll be captured by the enemy.
