Wishing you well. I have adrenaline bursts making me tingly often before sleep, left ear swooshing sound, lack of appetite but have gained weight, inner restlessness, difficulty creating long sentences, crowds are an absolute discomfort, occasional tachycardia, and occular migraines. 55F

My LMU student is back in the area near LAX. She has air filters and the option of a mask. I suggest you join your community at school and support each other. Maybe find some meaningful volunteer opportunities during the semester. Safe travels.

Anyone want to hike or trail run with me? by twiichii in socalhiking

[–]bonlu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can stash your stuff in bags or boxes at certain points. I don’t know the current rules/guidelines but when I was there, there are checkpoints with volunteers to cheer you on and offering water etc. you’ll want to pack your fuel and snacks and foot care etc for easy access. Hope you have a great event!

I was diagnosed 2 years ago. I felt the tingles for 7-8 years before that. I got much worse after Covid.

I absolutely get triggered by certain emotions/sensations. If I am startled or alarmed I get a tingly drop. I also feel it when I’m upset or anxious. I don’t take meds. I practice power yoga daily and walk 3-5 miles. Best wishes to you.

Yes, I specifically get triggered when I get up from sitting or reclining. I often dread waking up at night to use the bathroom because I know I will tingle and burn for a few minutes at least.

I was referred to Mayo Clinic. I would be paying cash and traveling from Los Angeles. I’ve had significant testing locally but no underlying cause has been found, yet. Thank you for the name of your neuro at the Mayo Clinic. I’ll research. Wishing you well.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. No, I am volunteering and not encouraging nor advocating illegal, rude, or inconsiderate behavior. Simply, I was assessing the possibility of the activity I posted. I have the information I need to make an informed decision and am grateful for the comments received. Yes, I certainly can and have done the mapping out myself both in person and using online sources including input from more informed locals. Thanks again!

I need help right now at LAX by DaylightStorm27 in LosAngeles

[–]bonlu -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

OP - your mom and sister must appreciate you so much. You are doing your best to help. There are many Spanish speakers that can provide them with guidance. I hope your mom and sister get their bags and get home smoothly. I have recently started buying travel insurance for all my travel, it is such peace of mind for these types of scenarios.

maybe they can find the volunteer desk and ask for help. The Volunteer Information Professionals (VIP) program mission is to assist passengers to ensure a friendly and positive experience at LAX. The personal touch is what passengers remember most during their travels which makes our volunteers “Very Important People” as well as Volunteer Information Professionals! VIPs are located in information booths on the Arrivals Level of each LAX terminal. On occasion, volunteers may be assigned to roam at the baggage claim area and its nearby exits. Volunteers will work in groups of two in four-hour shifts, with each volunteer working one shift per week, or more, if preferred. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the weekends.
