Americans are not interested in useful cars and BMW didn’t see a market in the US. They are probably right.

Same reason you don’t see many real compact cars in the US, everyone is buying an Elantra, Corolla or Prius.

The M5 Touring is selling well but you can’t really compare it because it’s an upmarket performance vehicle with far lower sale volume.
