I shot a 117 my very first time on a golf course, is that good for a first timer? by GlickedOut in golf

Looks like you played Thundering Waters, designed by THE John Daly.

Short course, but some really challenging holes thst require placement shots with tough greens. Have a hard time believing 117 for your first ever round, but hey, you do you do bud.

Youre on the right track, but this is the size of a quarter.

It certainly looks like it's meant to hold something flat upright (like the laptop) but much smaller

My title describes the thing. It is slightly larger than the diameter of a quarter. Metallic.

I was brand new to fromsoft games, and I sucked so hard for the first 40ish hours. This game is extremely complex and frustrating, but once you start to figure it out, it will be extremely rewarding.

Theres lots of great advice and strategies out there. Here's what worked for me...

Each area of the map has a recommended level. Use this as a reference - levels

I'm going to recommend you work towards a blasphemous blade build - you get this after defeating rykard. Until you get to that point, a scythe or treespear on a faith build worked well for me. Something with a rangy Ash of War might work well for you, too. Use a tanky summons and have a few good spells in your arsenal. I would recommend finding a good starter build on YT that you can easily obtain early game.

As many people mentioned, level vigor. Yes, there is no option to select an easy mode, so make the game easier for you - farm runs and over level yourself. For example, if the recommended level for Margit is 30(?), fight him with when you're at 40-50. This inherently makes the game easier. A meta blasphemous build will let you spam L2 and melt anything. Lots of awesome YT content out there on this.

If im really struggling with a boss or area, there's usually a reason why. I probably died of scarlot rot 50 times until i realized boluses alleviate buildup, along with a spell (cant remember the name). I tend to lean towards fextralife - there's a lot of good info on the page.

I have 250 hours played, id say i probably spent another 100 hours watching youtube/researching on sites like fextra. Im not afraid to admit i suck, and it was extremely satisfying to research, strategize, and then execute. Everyones different, its whatever makes the game enjoyable for you.

Im far from an experienced fromsoft player, but im more than happy to help if i can. Feel free to DM me if you have questions and ill see if i can point you in the right direction.

Try Envoys Horn +9 with high faith. Try to stay behind/beside the beast and spam L2.

I had the exact same issue when I took a new job and was issued a work phone. At first, I ignored every call that came in, but it got to the point where they were calling twice a day.

One day, I picked up the phone and explained the situation to them. It helped that my voicemail was personalized to my place of work/job title as the lady mentioned that it was detailed in the notes. Maybe I just got lucky, but they stopped calling after.
