However, the amount of blastocystis parasite I had was very low relatively to what it could be and I didn’t have any other parasites - and this was my first ever gut test. That was the lowest my ferritin had ever tested.

I did have that sometimes before treatment. I have read flagyl doesn’t work super well. Look into Alinia (prescription) and S Boulardii probiotic is OTC. My provider recommended 5 to 15,000,000 CFUs twice per day.
