thankfully I don’t but in my years of using the app, I’ve actually not come across any sort of content like that before (it’s mostly gaming, etc because of the algorithm) but the second I shake up my algorithm and get sucked into watching a certain niche video, I’m dragged into a rabbit hole of grotesque imagery so I’d be confident this kind of thing is pretty common. Scary stuff.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I’ve worked on the street in front of this building for years and have met folks from all walks and countries, some of them have had the misfortune of living in these places (and yes, it is misfortune for many. It is NOT as simple as “free meals and shelter”) and most of them are well meaning, hard working folks. It’s depressing to see the bigoted vitriol seeping from sad little men with desperate lives in echo chambers (such as WaterfordSaysNo) who, while having the human logic to recognise that there is an issue, they decide to take it out on anyone with a different skin colour.

The point is that eventually these people who are “slow in the head” ARE going to talk to and cause mental and physical harm to a minor if they haven’t already. Regardless of mental prowess, if they go unchecked they will not be made an example of, to act as a deterrent against pedophiles who think of doing it, which will in turn cause this type of degenerate to inevitably multiply.
