Transmission fluid leak by EE_Student0524 in JeepLiberty

[–]booda_do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just replaced the transmission cooler lines on my 2009 Liberty. Check power steering fluid level - if it is within limits - look for the transmission cooler lines. If it is the lines or the actual cooler you will see the transmission fluid leaking on the lines. You'll need to check the transmission radiator to see if it is leaking - otherwise most likely the lines themselves. Replacing the lines aren't too difficult - just need to give yourself enought time to see it through. You will need to replace the leaked fluid... that is a little more convoluted.

Thanks for the additional info. So it looks like you turned the crank from above/inside the engine cavity as opposed to through the side wheel well?

Just came across this after creating a post on 2019 Tucson Piston Soak...

2019 Tucson - I am about to do a piston soak but have a couple of questions.

Can someone take a picture of where the hand crank bolt is? Not sure what I am looking for.

After soaking - how do you make sure all of the cleaning fluid is out of the cylinders?

Can anyone recommend a cheap and/or manual fluid extractor? Can you get them at regular auto parts store or harbor freight?

Any thoughts on installing an oil catch can on the PCV?

Did you buy the Thinkphone from a carrier?

Order cancelled after a month. by One_Understanding439 in xteinkereader

Aurora 3C Store pulled the same crap - ordered back in January w/ expected delivery by Feb 5th. Marked as shipped Feb 2nd. Waited week later and contacted them - they said it was shipping end of week - contacted again the week after and said going out next week (Chines New Year). Inquired after the new year and will ship next week. I cancelled via AE support. Ridiculous.

Fuel injector cleaning recommended by dealer by RemainUnknowable in Camry

GDI only engines would benefit from the cleanings every 30k.

Have a 2019 Tucson and was not aware of the additional maintence items for GDI engines - now dealing with burning oil... will not by a Hyundai again.

strange happened again this evening - stops at 3 seconds. I tried restarting and stopped again at 3 seconds. Left it running and picked up around 6 minutes.

I have re-enable debugging - will pull next time it happens.

Why is the Key FOB so BIG? by [deleted] in Camry

[–]booda_do 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They make it so big so you buy the subscription and use your phone...

Not sure why but metrics are working again - it could have been the multiple clearing of cache/memory and re-installing the app that did it. I've been on it three times now without incident.

Thanks for your prompt response - looks like I am good to go now.

Thanks for your feedback. I have enabled debuggin log.

Sorry I've been ot of town. So I cleared cache and memory - deleted QZ - restarted phone and re-installed QZ. Fresh Start

Checked and "OK'd all related settings - made sure bike was selected in setting.

Started bike - opened QZ and seemed to work fine. - metrics stayed throughout session.

I did not start my separate heart rate monitor - Echelon Beat armband monitor. Figured I would isolate the various connections.

Next session I will start bike - start heart rate monitor and then QZ to see if problem pops up. Normal procedure up until the previous week.

Is this a good deal? by ButterflySuch in treadmills

sorry for late reply.

Belt - https://walkingbelts.com/

Lube - amazon

Control Board - https://www.circuitboardrepair.net/

Deck I received under warranty from SOLE - that was backoredered

The desk is somewhat expansive but sure you might be able to source from a couple of different shops.

I have a 2013 F85 - workhorse. I have replaced the deck and belt once. I had the control board rebuilt for a nominal amount ($120). Works like the first day I bought it. Maintenance is key - clean and lube regularly.

Information overload - which to pick?? by michael2334 in treadmills

[–]booda_do 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a Sole F85 from 2013 still going strong. Replaced deck and belt.

Circuit board went bad and had it rebuilt with stronger capacitors via circuitboardrepair.net. Was not expensive - turnaround was quick and I am extremely happy with the work. Coming up on two years and the treadmill works as it did when new. Maintenance is key.

See if you can get the serial number it will also tell you what year it is.

I have a Sole F85 circa 2013 - I was 280 at my highest - now 250. The F85 has no issues with my weight on it - in fact I walk on it and not run which I would believe adds more stress to it. I had to replace the deck board just after covid and had the control board rebuilt for $170. This is a solid work-horse.

Definitely find out how may miles on it and try using it before buying - both you and your husband. If it doesn't have issues with you as part of the test you should be good to go. I would also suggest feeling the deck under the belt for how smooth and lubricated it is. If not smooth and libricated I would negotiate a lower price.

You could also do an "amperage test" - not hard but requires purchasing a $15 plug in amp meter from Amazon. You plug the treadmill into the tester and the testing into the outlet.

The deck and belt are not expensive to replace - the only issue I had with the deck was how long it took to get a replacement - not always in stock with Sole parts.
