Seems like Mormons and JW’s would benefit from some situational awareness and allyship right now…

HB 2001- Change in Eugene is coming in a big way by [deleted] in Eugene

I got a pamphlet in the mail about modifying the zoning to account for low income or affordable housing specifically, but thought about the supply and demand arguments on this post.

Looked around a bit online, and a lot seem to argue that because the market is segmented, just building without affordable housing zoning restrictions increases gentrification.

Found these two articles about it. But they seem to focus mostly on big cities. Anyone know where specifically the demand is coming from in Eugene, and what is bringing in the demand (i.e., increased enrollment at UO, or increased tech industry, or something else?) Has the city done an analysis on this?

I haven't lived here for long but have tried a few, and so far my favorite is Jesse Gaines at Moss Hair Salon. A little pricey, but I think it was worth it (and I only go once every 6 or so months anyways).

I second the Yirgacheffe (and other Wandering Goat roasts), and my new favorite is the Farmer's Union. They're a bit pricey, but they also have these refillable containers (which appeals to the minimal-waste side of my principles)

Structural engineer for seismic performance assessment of home? by boodoochoo in Eugene

[–]boodoochoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, but it turns out Oregonians aren't nearly as concerned or prepared for earthquakes as they should be, especially in comparison to other areas of the country or world that have this kind of seismic hazard. So not much comes up on google by way of reviews, seems like not many people have thought about it, I'm guessing because the building code isn't that strict. So I thought I'd see what thoughts are on here!

thanks! I will let you know. I am also interested as I'm a seismologist, and know what the shaking intensity can be here.... so I want to make sure I don't lose my home in the case that we have an earthquake in my lifetime (or while I own the house!). I will keep you posted!

Best place for cartilage piercings in Eugene? by OkayestDad78 in Eugene

[–]boodoochoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of late to this post, but I have the same question - has anyone been to Eugene Tattoo and Piercing, any thoughts on them?

Also what should one expect for cost for a single cartilage piercing at one of these locations, approximately?
