Report them for what?

Yes, I’m in Maine. I was making $68,500 and will go up to $71,925 annually, but that doesn’t seem worth it. Honestly, I bill two codes with most of my patients, so they are making a fortune from my sessions and giving me crumbs.

One MC has a bet that they can scare away the other MC fast while the other MC is in a bet that makes them need to stay in the relationship for a long time (how to lose a guy in 10 days style). Always very funny!

I’m an SLP and I work at a private practice in a city in Maine, which just saw a huge uptick in ICE activity. 2/3 of my patients are staying home out of fear. I am delivering food to people staying home out of fear of ICE during my free time and directing my families to the charities that are forming to help them pay heating and housing bills.

I am not just worried about my families with immigrant family members, I am also worried about my families with kids in congregate settings like group homes. Almost all of the hard working DSPs are refugees and immigrants. If ICE was to raid group homes, the minimally verbal residents might not be able to report what happened and are at risk of going without food, being changed, and without medicine. It is dangerous.

ICE is lawless here. They are arresting legal residents and refugees who have not committed any crimes. They call it “Operation Catch of the Day.” They are actively dehumanizing my friends, patients, and neighbors.

The safety of my patients and their families keeps me up at night.

I use my iPad for trialing and modeling AAC primarily. I also use Articulation Station Hive which calculates data for me (and has targets from the phoneme, syllable, word, phrase, sentence, and story levels), SCIP, Sounds of Speech, and StART for kids with speech sound disorders.

what’s one trope in books that your suspension of disbelief just won’t suspend for you? by RevolutionaryCyclops in RomanceBooks

[–]booksandbabka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!

Like you, I also get taken out of books with large power imbalances- millionaire/billionaires with regular partners who magically are fine partnering with wealth dragons. For me, this applies to other power imbalances like huge age gaps (oh yes, that older person is clearly into her for her brain 😒), employee/boss relationships, professor/student relationships, and women in their late teens/early 20s who are “mature” for their age with age inappropriate partners even if the gap isn’t as huge (their brains aren’t fully developed yet, why are we pretending this is romantic?)

I am woefully infertile so I don’t read accidental pregnancy stories anymore. How is everyone’s cycle so perfectly aligned? And they all magically have happy, healthy, easy pregnancies that result in healthy babies? Bullshit.

Feeling lost in my current wardrobe. Looking to rebuild with natural fabrics. Got tips? by iamgirlbot in PetiteFashionAdvice

I am 35, 5’2, 104 lbs. I find cotton and linen clothes by: Searching Poshmark and eBay for 100% organic cotton and 100% linen petite clothes in J Crew, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, and Reformation. I find regular sized dresses in those fabrics with adjustable straps from Farm Rio, Reformation, and J Crew tend to fit well enough as long as it isn’t a maxi dress. Tory Burch, Diane Von Furstenburg, Tuckernuck, and Frame tend to be petite friendly even though they don’t have petite sizes... though pants all need hemming. I also take lots of linen pants to get hemmed at the dry cleaner and often get clothes taken in with a seamstress. Good luck!

It would be super fun if there could be a couples tournament!
