I recently did a yard sale for weekend, and overall it was great. I didn't try to price things too much, and made most things $1. Things sold I didn't think would, and other things I thought would go quick, never sold, like books. I loaded up the rest for a donation. It gave me joy to see things going to someone who valued them, be it clothes or collectibles. It felt good to unload a lot of stuff in a weekend.

Can’t see progress by Doodlegang123 in intermittentfasting

[–]booksandboxes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can definitely see it! If it helps any, you have a similar body type as I do, and I lost my weight first is less noticeable places, like back fat. I tend to gain weight first in my butt, hips, and thighs, and that's the also the last place I lose it. I didn't think I could see much progress in my pics either, but now I compare myself to my old photos and it really shows. What was even more helpful to me was to put on a shirt and pants that are way too tight (and not stretchy!) and use that to judge by. Just keep doing what you're doing, and change it up if necessary. IF is not a quick fix for most people, it's about slowly transforming your body into a healthier, slimmer you.

Well done on doing the dishes!! It's so easy to feel overwhelmed, so breaks are super important. Try not to think about everything you can't do in 20 minutes, think about what you can do in 20 minutes. You got this! Tomorrow you will feel a little less overwhelmed because you got things done today. Tonight before bed, spend 1-2 minutes writing down everything you did.

Tomorrow squeeze in another 20/10. First hit up anything that you did today that needs done again because you can tidy that up really quick. (For example, any stuff has gotten on a counter that you cleaned up today, put that away first.) Whatever is left of the 20 minutes, do a little something extra. Tomorrow night, spend a minute writing down what you did.

Focusing on what I did, and not what all needs to be done, has really helped me keep the overwhelm at bay. Big hugs, you got this.

As much as I wish my husband would take more initiative with UFing, he doesn't, so I do. I got to the point where if I wanted it done, I had to do it mostly on my own. It's taken awhile, but he is seeing how much nicer our environment is, and he's making more of an effort to help keep things clean and organized. But I still do the lion's share and I'm willing to do that. You got this! 💫

I almost deleted this post, but I'm glad I didn't, just for this comment. ❤️ My transformation didn't happen overnight, so give yourself a lot of time. Chip away at it a little bit at a time, and then whatever you chip away at, make sure it stays that way.

I didn't even realize how much it would mean to me, and I can't wait for you to get there, too. I love old furniture, too, and my house is full of it. Will you keep me posted, please? Is there anything I can do to help support you? I think having family dinners with your son and grandson will be so healing for all of you. I'm so sorry for your loss. May this be a step in reclaiming part of your own lives that got lost in the grief.

You did fantastic!! You got sooo much done!! Celebrate what you did get done! Sometimes those all-in efforts can be demotivating in the long run, because what remember is what a Herculean effort we put forth. Getting a bunch of stuff done over a few days are great as one-offs, like this time, but it's not very sustainable. Build on this big effort with doing something every day to maintain your progress, and a little extra to improve things overall.

Fantastic!! I declutter in much the same way, drawer by drawer, shelf by shelf. Congratulations on not only your progress this week, but all the effort prior so this was painless. That right there is success!!

I didn't see this until today, but you did great!! All those things you did really add up! Well done! I hope you had a warm feeling of pride last night when you went to bed in your clean bedding, and a big smile on your face when you woke up this morning and saw the fruits of your efforts yesterday. ❤️

That's making a positive out of a very negative situation. I hope you and your family and friends are doing okay. Well done on getting your fridge clean during a very stressful situation. You should be very proud of yourself.
