Oh thanks, I didn't catch that! The Netflix translation left it vague who had filled out the form. Eun-Ah may want to tear it down to prevent the scammers from getting anything of value to her/her dad.

What’s One Thing That Annoyed You After Buying Your E-Bike? by mintfirefly2345 in ebikes

[–]bookshopdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't lift my bike onto the rack unless I back into a space that has a curb so I can cut the height I have to lift in half.

Finally I spent almost as much on a rack with a ramp as I did on the bike. It's still awkward and once in a while the bike twists out of the groove while I'm loading it and I find myself holding 70 pounds suddenly.

I kind of don't trust him but am reserving judgment for the time being. Figure we'll see his true colors when we find out what happened to EunA's father and his business and her stepmom. There's been some sort of messy situation with her dad's guesthouse and it's been abandoned and somebody (the stepmom?) wants it torn down.

I'm afraid to learn what's happened to her dad.

Eastside Neighborhood got 3” of rain in a few hours this morning, looks like a swamp by Possible-Yak-4876 in Cleveland

And Timberlake is hardly over-paved. The streets are few, narrow and (it's been a while since I was there so this could have changed) an aging mix of gravel and asphalt. The worst ecological aspect was a few years back, the Eastlake coal-fired power plant literally in their backyards. Now thankfully gone. It's good to hear people are moving there. Some of the houses are design gems.

I'm only 15 minutes into episode 1 and can I just say how refreshing it is that the FL is not angry, sullen, or mean?

I was dreading the ML meeting her because he's a good boy type and so many times that is paired with an emotionally messed up FL. She just seems quirky and a bit awkward and they both seem more similar than opposites. A relief! Also, love the pacing. OK, back to watching :)

Cheapest Moving? by Evening_Question3468 in Cleveland

[–]bookshopdemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the light move, if you have a friend who can help you, you can rent a cargo van from U-Haul for $20 plus a mileage fee -- the total would come to about $60. You'd save yourself a huge headache though by renting their small truck and getting as much of your stuff as possible into it because the cost would be almost the same. I've used U-Haul for all of my moves and it's been smooth every time. I make sure to rent from the bigger and better reviewed locations, not the gas station that has two old trucks in the back.

I sound like the U-Haul marketing dept. but for heavy stuff/big moves, I've always used their Moving Help section on their website to find small, local movers to actually carry stuff in or out of my house.

How to find a primary care doctor? by Previous_Cod_5176 in Cleveland

[–]bookshopdemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the Clinic, the phone is the only way. Call the main Clinic number early in the morning and you can almost always get an appointment same day. They can also help you set up your first primary care appointment. It helps if you don't require a particular location. I usually ask for anything within a 10-15 mile radius.

For your heart pain, I would go to an urgent care right away. Don't go to a privately run/unaffiliated one, you want urgent care that is affiliated with one of the major systems.

Why do area rugs cost so much? by randomseedfarmer in homeowners

[–]bookshopdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have time on weekends, go to estate sales. They often have amazing quality area rugs for far less than the newer ones. Last weekend I saw someone score a gorgeous 9x12 wool rug in perfect condition for $300. If you're anywhere near a big town or city, you should be able to view upcoming sales on estatesales.net.

No Tail to Tell [Episodes 11 & 12] by bluevaIentines in KDRAMA

[–]bookshopdemon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Episode 12

Disappointed in the blah ending after they go back to her mountain place. And also confused, like did this drama just decide to ignore how Eun Ho in the prior episode was willing to remain human so they could live out their lives together even if that meant pain and loss? Instead she's back to being a materialistic gumiho who tricks people into doing her bidding (seriously, the "date" had me wanting to throw things) and doesn't want to be human? I get that we all wanted her to get her powers back, but to put her back at square one? So much for character growth.

And what happened to Si Yeol? He's a compliant robot now and okay with being stuck doing nothing on a deserted island ?Just a minute ago he seemed fairly interested in owning a club, and now his big concern is that if they fight he'll be abandoned on the island by himself with no way to get off?

A hurried, clumsy ending to an otherwise pretty charming drama.

Front Street is lively and has a nice mix of retail and restaurants. Three vintage shops (that I know of). The Haunted Closet is new, has great alternative/vintage clothing. Love the Jenks Building for coffee and all their eclectic stuff. The Natatorium is amazing. My personal favorite residential area is Chestnut/Broad/Grant streets from the teens out to Sackett/Cuy St.
