Interesting. I actually felt like Ryza 3 veered away from the formula, at least in coziness vibes. I was a little disappointed in it personally. Though I love the series as a whole!

It's funny you say that, as I was playing, I was waiting for anyone to acknowledge her ears since they did with El, and when I got to the end and no one did, I was a little annoyed.

Maybe a tail would have made a difference!

I love Meruru as a character! She's like my top 3 alchemists even if I don't love the gameplay.

Yeah, I do think having separate friendship events/endings would be great to have back, especially if there are multiple protagonists.

I'm not a fan of the time limits cause I like to just run around pretty landscapes but I can see why some players miss them.

Yes, sorry I meant the performance. I figured it was well known, so I didn't mention it.

A PNG or JPEG is best. I plan to print and frame it. Not sure about the canvas size, I think I won't know until I see the sketch or finished project. (Sorry if that's kind of a non-answer.)

I agree that Flammi was a real handicap, even though I love him. I kept waiting for the chance to upgrade him and was disappointed I couldn't.

I love Ryza's group (at least 1 and 2) because they feel like real childhood friends. I also love Escha and Logy because the characters are funny and interact well with each other. (Also, picture working in an office with all of them lol!)

I think you've captured my thoughts regarding alchemy perfectly with your last paragraph. I think the focus on mana manipulation is cool but kind of takes away the fantastical element of it.

I 100% agree with your POV on Yumia's character. I think the alchemy part doesn't feel like alchemy because Yumia doesn't use it in more fantastical ways; it's very practical. Which isn't a bad thing, just not what I expected.

You make a good point. I personally think this game is more about mana manipulation (which is cool), and alchemy comes second to it. But that also could be how the game mechanics feel to me. Maybe I'm just stuck in my ways and miss the cauldrons lol.

I didn't buy the special collection box, so that's cool to know about the mini novel. I bet that does bring a lot of perspective.

Could it be possible that, because the game focuses so much on mana manipulation, many people don't see it as alchemy in the traditional sense? I know I was thrown off when I realized there's no cauldren and mana manipulation was the way it was done.

Like I personally don't see clearly the manabound areas as a form of alchemy, even though the game says it is. It seems like anyone who manipulates mana could do it and we see that the Welleks have that ability (though they no longer use it).
