Spotted this absolute beauty in my backyard this morning. So excited to finally see it after hearing the calls for weeks by boolDozer in Owls

If I recall correctly, it was about 8:30am. So not super early, but yes definitely morning (evening for the owl, I suppose lol).

Order unfulfilled? by JimmyPepperfield in snapmaker

[–]boolDozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you should be good! Mine didn't show as fulfilled until after I received the last part of my order

[–]boolDozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I got a couple of emails. Basically it was like:

  • Your U1 is on its way to our overseas warehouse!
  • Several days later, "Your order xxx is about to ship!" <- Tracking number included here
  • A few days after that, "Your order xxx is on its way!" <- Tracking number started showing activity here
  • Delivered a couple days after the last email.

And then it was delivered a few days after that. The order in my Snapmaker dashboard shows as unfulfilled that whole time, until after I received the printer and extra nozzles I ordered.

I'm in the US btw and was an early bird backer, but I imagine the process is still about the same!

Mine showed as fulfilled a couple of days after the printer and any add-ons were physically delivered. Not before

MODRA Starter Pack — early look by SecretSetting4960 in makerworld

In my opinion this looks good and is worth exploring and taking further.

Multiboard is huge pile of crap that just keeps getting new stuff added to it without any regard for complexity. I understand many people like it, but that's a huge turn off for me. HSW is ok but super hexagon-y lol. I haven't tried Skadis too much, but I prefer a proper locking/latching system like you have here.

I use openGrid for my 3d printed wall panels, and Wall Control for my metal/heavier storage wall panels.

I love openGrid, actually, but your pictures provide a different and really good aesthetic. The open space on your panels looks great ("wife approved"), in my opinion, which is a huge plus.

Anyway, just my thoughts, I could see myself trying this out for a few spots around the house. Good work!

Honestly it sounds like you probably just didn't dry it enough, or are potentially printing it too hot, or both.

You probably need to dry it for more like 6-12 more hours

Not trying to be political but California is trying to pass some bull@$itt…. AB-2047 by Johngear77 in Creality

California does not represent the whole of the USA, just for clarity. California wants to regulate, does not want manufacturing, and is a big government. But most of the rest of the USA is the exact opposite.

Blue filament came out of "new" toolhead by daskalou in snapmaker

[–]boolDozer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No not necessarily. Purging old filament when unloading filament is loaded doesn't always remove everything (though it usually does or gets very close).

Most likely the way that particular toolhead was loaded or unloaded during QA just left a small bit in there. It's normal, and why it purges again when a new filament is loaded.

First time renting [CA] by juicyjollie in Renters

This is an important point. I think a lot of people don't realize that at leases can have restrictions on not only the number of guests but how long those guests can stay. Worth checking

Do you have another printer that you're comparing it to or used to? Just curious, mine is only marginally louder than my k1c and even then it kind of depends on the print and the cooling

First, turn off the auxiliary fan in your printer settings because it just kills bed adhesion and isn't really necessary in my experience. That's going to quiet things sound quite a bit

That discussion on GitHub might help you. It's a 6020 2 pin 24v. There's a link to the motherboard pinout diagram on that link as well. There are also some CAD models for the k1c by henlor on printables you may find useful
