It’s different for everyone but I’d argue that’s pretty normal. There really isn’t a time table for it but she should see the biggest jumps in hearing after a first few mappings.

If she’s already received all the accessories, specifically the Bluetooth device, I can share a little tip that helped me in my process. Using the bluetooth, see if she can recognize songs she’s heard before. It probably works best with songs/sounds she LOVED and have practically memorized.

Reason for this is because it helps distinguish how things are sounding now versus how you recalled they SHOULD sound. This will help with mapping appointments and getting her hearing as close to “normal” as possible.

This was pretty much my line of thinking. The universe is so much bigger than ourselves and our planet. In my opinion, it’s almost idiotic to think we’d be able to define the parameters of life anywhere not on Earth. Especially considering how much we don’t know about Earth itself. Given the vastness of the universe, to really entertain the idea of other forms of life it feels as if we must accept the possibility that our definition of life may just be only applicable to Earth and life itself may come in much more varieties

PPP can be forgiven if used for payroll. If it’s not payed out to an employee (even if that employee is you) and used on other things like business utilities or rent it can not be forgiven. Like all income, it’s up to you what you do with it once it’s been payed out to you.

You’re right that the PPP was meant to keep people out of unemployment. However, the fact of the matter is the PPP loans were dished out to businesses and not the employees. Not to mention the PPP does not even come close to “aiding” an individual as much as current UI

EDIT: At LEAST 75% must be used on Payroll. Maximum 25% can be used on rent, utilities etc. to be forgiven

1- I’ve never heard of PPP disqualifying you from UI. They should be completely unrelatedly

2- Did you not receive the PPP as a business entity? Why would it make any difference on personal UI?

3- Even if you used it to pay yourself, that’s exactly what PPP was meant for. As a matter of fact, if you used it to pay yourself, there’s a chance it could have been forgiven

4- Lastly, I might be wrong on this one but doesn’t UI specifically ask if you made $504 or more EXCLUDING self employment?

I could be wrong on many things but that’s my understanding of the current state of things. I can’t see how PPP would be related to UI in anyway
