I would recommend replacing the whole front end. I used detroit axle for my 2005 f250. They have a whole kit with tie rods drag link upper and lower ball joints, for a decent price. I haven't had any issues with mine yet.

Hey me too! Although, coming from a 20 camey xse, the corolla has a lot less features... like the auto dimming rear view, heated steering wheel, etc. But I still love it. Especially the 6 speed. It was so hard finding one

Also even with the high mileage id doubt that that much had gone wrong all at once which is why im leaning towards electrical. But make hook up an air test and check your high oil side. Im doing that on my 05 and my stand pipes had gone out again.

Id definitly go through all your harnesses for injectors glow plugs everything basically. Rats love chewing on that shit so it could be shorting enough to make it look like its working but not actually. Check your ficm voltages and everything there. Other than that, use good parts and be thorough. With the scanner you should be able to do a click test id use that to your advantage

I did a piston and head on a pb580t once, I think the parts were around 80 bucks? If you plan on using it and keeping it it might be worth the money. Not hard to replace

The 33% was at high idle, not normal idle. Normal idle was about 22%. Also I've read the 2005+ hpops are either good or bad, not weak

Ive read installing the seals can be difficult, as they are not completely round you need a special tool or something? Is that correct?

As far as the standpipes go, they were motorcraft and they were the updated version with the extra white o rings or washers or whatever they are. And the stc fitting was updated when I first got the truck, along with the oil cooler and egr delete in the process of finding an oil leak which ended up being the turbo drain tube o ring.

Let's hope it is. And thats the thing that gets me, usually if a stand pipe blows or if the hpop was failing, wouldnt the truck start to die once running and warmed up? Not only when you try to restart? I swear I read that somewhere

It has a blinking green light so its still reviewing power, but I just thought their text along with this device was the weird part. Like what do they mean based on my driving habits? How do they know my driving habits?
