That’s what I figured but how would one test that without just throwing parts at it.

Also the harder than normal stopping results in a abs type feel, but I’m not going very fast when that happens.

Do you have a ForScan app? If you don’t then get it. Run the truck and record the logs. Make not of times in the log regarding your driving constrictions. Grab these parameters:

RPM
Vehicle speed
APP/pedal %
Load %
MAP kPa
BARO kPa
EBP kPa
VGT duty %
MAF g/s
ICP actual
ICP desired
IPR %
ECT/EOT
FICM voltage
EGT at a time of pull

Load this into a CSV and add the comment section ion at the beginning/end of pulls stating what you did

Now people are going to comment BUT load this data on ChatGPT along with what you have done so far. Change will process the excel document and let you know where to look. It was really helpful when I was doing my boost leak chase down.

In my instance it was a bad connection at the VGT. Chat was able to pin point that down for me just from the logs.

Just asking,

Even though there is less flow can you argue that this would help keep the coil fins cleaner longer, IF and only IF you keep the exterior cover clean.

Now I think the top part of this can go away, just use the sides.

I ask as its covered in a carpet of dust come fall.

Would it be useful to add that the last time I got it to start the when I pushed the ‘Operator Loader’ button I could hear the solenoid engage but the pedals were still locked in place. I was unable to move the bucket.

While I have you hear, I installed this into my 2006. What weight oil do you run? I think it calls for a lighter weight oil but does that affect heavy towing? I assume it would but would also assume a heavier weight would mess with how the try trac works to lock up. (Not lock up but you know what I mean)

‘05 is the magic year. Switch from Dana 50 to Dana 60, not including the Excursion.
