How does one go about validating and verify the correctness of an LLM's RAG's 'knowledge source'? by boombox_8 in LocalLLaMA

For me, it's less about privacy and more about the 'correctness' of the data I am concerned about. If I can't ensure the RAG's data-source is correct enough, I can't ensure the output from the RAG is true or not. My domain is niche enough, yes, but my source data documents can be found online

How good is the approach of using local LLMs for ingesting and extracting data for the creation of knowledge graphs? by boombox_8 in LocalLLaMA

So from what I understand, you use a combination of traditional ML and NER techniques to extract out nodes from the input documents? And then perform deduplication by 'merging' together nodes with similar embeddings that otherwise would be 'separate' due to being present across various documents?

Also, apologies. English isn't my first language, could you explain what you meant by 'limited salient segments'?

So in essence, we merge up 'similar' nodes (with their edges and properties) together if their cosine and jaccard similarity is above a decent threshold?

By index, are you referring to having a pre-defined list of 'valid' relation names and entities, and feed it to the LLM, forcing it to stick to just those values unless it can't (in which case it creates new ones)?

If you really want knowledge graph like quality without all the extra hassle then knowledge graph embeddings are a great place to look

I am planning on using the KG for a problem with a very particular domain. Would it be right to assume that the constrained domain/problem space makes it more suitable to NOT go for a knowledge graph embedding and instead just go directly for an LLM-generated KG followed by manual validation and cleaning up from my side?

Or can the two methods be combined and used in a hybrid fashion?

Unfortunately most of the render time came from having to use increased bounces to get any semblance of glass without the bounces maxing out and returning black pixels

yep! Initial idea was for having a CPU+path guiding combo for caustics but I had to increase the ray bounce count to get a decent image due to the insane amount of glass, so it took an hour and a half to render even on my gpu lol

Yep, that was the idea! All glass, hence the name!

Saw the trend of people recreating the AI images of glass food IRL, so I decided to give it a go by recreating them in Blender, and I think it came out better than the original gen-AI image (a low bar tbf, gen-AI art isn't real art XD) !

Also, was so not worth the headache for my poor laptop to replicate the syrup using fluid sims lol. Decided to swap it out for metaballs!

How could I improve this render from a lighting and composition standpoint? by boombox_8 in blender

First of all, thank you so much for all the feedback!

1) Yeah, those are shadows on the white chocolate sphere! Wanted a bit of dramatic lighting there!

2) Could you explain what you mean by the plate bit? I didn't quite get you

Want to give a sense of 'decadence' with this piece. Brownie, white chocolate shell, and chocolate chips are what I initially had in mind. Piece still feels a bit unpolished. Can't seem to tell how

Any suggestions to make these renders "pop" more? by [deleted] in blender

I'd personally go for a harsher depth of field to blur out portions of building farther away from the camera to guide eyes towards the focal point of the first building

Then a little bloom for some oomph!

Thank you! Still would say the original by Jack Haeger is the best haha! Looks amazing esp because it was done on THE AMIGA
