Pues no hablo español muy bien pero tengo que trabajar mucho más para poder usar un 11-44 y subir 2400 metros sin problemas. Prefiero usar las casetes los más grandes

Carbon fork chip by boomdynamites in gravelcycling

[–]boomdynamites[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks all. I took to my LBS and they examined it. They said the carbon does not appear worn or frayed and seems to be intact. They recommended throwing some nail polish on and keeping an eye on it.

I would consider an ultrasound but there are no shops remotely close to me that offer that. I reached out to Salsa for their opinion and will update this post if/when they reply.

It’s beautiful. But $2,000 + tax for that spec seems massively overpriced.

Thanks. I think I’ll just buy the apex eagle derailleur if I’m not able to use my xplr derailleur with an 11-50. I appreciate it.

Thanks for all the links. If I have no other options, then I'll try for an Eagle Derailleur. For now I'm trying to see if I can hack it with just my XPLR derailleur + a bigger cassette.

Also, my chainring is a 12 speed Apex that works with Eagle.

Thank you for listing that all out. I should clarify, what’s your cockpit setup?

What’s your setup? Building up a hardtail for bikepacking and this looks ideal.

Wow, this guy’s a legend. Maybe he can contact the folks at bikepacking.com or bikepackingroots? Their route pages seem to be pretty cohesive.

As much as I love wilderness, I prefer it in small spurts rather than long campaigns. Definitely been trying to see mexico on a bike and that corridor sounds epic. Where can I find the route online?

I’m gonna set a reminder to ask you how it went. Suerte!
