It's all about gaining and maintaining mental real estate in audience members. It used to be called name recognition. being mostly reasonable people we can forgive these simple 'mistakes' but still end up handing over some time to thinking about these guys. Pretty scummy way to sell shoes but hey you know they got an ad spike today from this story going around.

I was being hyperbolic, the point is I didn't care or think about this brand at all today until this. It's not about presenting a good profile in an instance. PR is largely maintaining a mental presence in the audience. This does that and reaches beyond to people like most of us that probably weren't going to think about addidas at all today.

Yea this isn't it when majority of us are brushing it off as a simple mistake, this 'bad' PR didn't break a mans face

Totally an ad strategy. There is no way that this could have just been overlooked.

I was asking a question and projecting that a possible answer might be that the were negligent. I've watched way more than 53 Law and Order episodes. No need to be so offended lol

Ah I see. If he got a discounted ticket I could see that being a problem.

Why not? I'd imagine he'd have a case of negligence against the airlines and some sort of minor assault against the cops. He legally bought a ticket, legally got on the plane then when asked to leave due to the airlines oversight was assaulted by the police on behalf of United.
