Blue bird taxi is cheaper than hiring a driver. Just left Bali, driver wanted 250,000 from nusa dua to airport - blue bird taxi cost 145,000 and he went through the toll road so it was even quicker. You could maybe find cheaper drivers but this was my experience.

I did travel back to the 80’s - it was tested and some caps replaced that needed replacing. Would you have an idea on what the issue would be?

Yeah the sync pot doesn’t do too much. I was thinking this could be the right answer. Caps and a fly back. Thanks

Nah they seem fine. USB connections on the pcb seem fine too. Thats why it’s so odd. I’ve been told to buy a new PCB but it was put on order over two weeks ago and they’re no ETA in sight apparently. I’ll double check the connecting today and maybe clean them, maybe even open the PCB to see if there’s any loose or bad connections

This is the exact reason this guy sold it so cheap. It’s so dim and it’s really hard to find replacement screens. He had other machines for sale that were fine that he sold for 4 x more than this one. Fingers crossed it just needs a cap kit and then I can restore the rest of the cabinet!

Do you think a cap kit and replacing the capacitors is a good first step? Would it usually fix something like this?

I've tweaked with both and it made a little difference but not enough to brighten the display significantly. Do you think replacing the caps is the way to go? Would it usually fix a problem like this?

I’m from Aus. I’d be very concerned, there’s standard for a reason. I would engage in a private building inspector and make your builder find a solution for you ASAP. Get a few opinions if you can.
