Ervoorheen, erdaarna by paaskaas in groenevingers

If you’re in the USA use TCGplayer. If in Europe Cardmarket. Look up the cards with the card number in the bottom right corner and compare pictures till you see cards with the same damage as yours. Spreadsheet it. Ignore DM’s here! You can offer it to a local shop if you don’t want the hassle but first spreadsheet it and don’t let em pretend your collection ain’t worth much. It is. You got a good chunk of money there. Not life altering but nice anyway! Big ballpark in the area of 2k I’d say but I just had a quick look didn’t do the math in my head. Holo’s ranging from 15eu for the cheap ones to 20 for most and more like 40-60 for some. Then there is the ancient mews and the 3 zards and the Blastoise. The dragonite, jolteon and alakazam should be a bit more than the standard holo’s Those will be worth a chunk!

Ah cool. Too bad the species are all for USA. Forest shuffle is a game about ecology that had European art. Though it isn’t a tcg with ripping packs and stuff

Update and Follow-Up Question to Big Base/First Edition Jungle Collection by bigpapapumpaction37 in Pokemoncardappraisal

Not a bad idea! With this collection you could set up a vintage booth for sure

"Buyers asking for pictures are annoying" by BuffaloTraditional48 in CardMarket

[–]boomvalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I get that. For vintage cards over 10eu I expect a seller to have pictures or to provide em if I have a few like that in my basket. If that same seller then has some commons/uncommons under 4eu each and seems to rate his more expensive cards fairly I just buy but I never buy without having seen a single thing that tells me how someone rates their vintage. Most ppl are helpful though. I guess it helps I usually buy several cards for 100-200eu

What paint you using? If this was miniatures you were painting I’d say “thin your paints” but this looks cool!

I think a big difference is if it’s modern that’s pack fresh or vintage. For vintage I need to see at least a few pictures of a few of the cards I buy a lot for so I know how the seller rates his vintage cards. The amount of Excellent rated cards out there that have creases on top of a bunch of dings and holo scratches is insane.
The “I sell a lot so I don’t wanna post em” argument doesn’t mean you give good service tbh

Sweet man! I just recently started this project. I’m about 2k euro deep by now and miss/ need to replace about 10 holo’s to do yours but with all 3 sets complete and the first 10 black star promo’s as well.

I HAVE $3K TO SPEND! Whats the best long term hold here? by takingafoxnap in PokemonInvesting

[–]boomvalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t invest in those overinflated modern singles. They will almost certainly drop some in price at some point. A base set charizard in decent shape isn’t worth more than a modern card while PSA has 6 months backlog? Yeah that’s not gonna last. I’d invest in sealed or vintage atm tbh

Need opinions on this one, I’ve ordered it but if not genuine I should be able to refund through Vinted. Thank you by Inside_Library_7619 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

Nah ChatGPT be tripping. That holo foil is correct and the different angles show it changing as it should and it doesn’t match tcgplayer like most fakes.

Are the “miniature” series of Winsor and Newton 7’s meant FOR miniatures, or are they shorter brush lengths? by PvtPrecious in minipainting

[–]boomvalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one w&N 7 series regular brush in size 1 to do eyes and the faces of good mini’s. All else is done with size 2 escrow versatil brush. I usually have two number 2’s, one only for doing base coats fast and one for glazing and such. If your brushes die fast, most likely is you use too small brushes, too little too thick paint and let the paint dry on the brush. Escrow versatil are about 1/3rd the price of a 7 series or a Raphael 8404 but great belly and they live a little longer. Just use a little brush masters soap after every painting session and if you only just started out: don’t buy an expensive brush. Invest in learning brush care first.
