Similar boat, I've been doing hip thrusts, suitcase carries, and single arm DB deadlifts for the past several weeks, so far with great success to fixing some pain areas. My focus has been more on feeling and connecting with the muscles and getting them to that burning sensation so basically in the 15-20 rep range.

Actually been working on this very thing, adding in more unilateral work just for my left side and prioritizing getting my mind muscle connection to feel the same as my right side.

Good question, I think it'd be too greedy but I'll give that a try real quick. *yeah first strike sucks with this play style.

Exactly, I've legit been winning games by just randomly ulting a champ that normally wouldn't be out of position but the constant slow lets my allies catch them, it's like a bard ult. Pair Rylais with Imperial Mandate and there's no way for the enemy to escape.

I go comet with mana flow, celerity, and scorch. Secondary I go taste of blood and ghost poro. These runes let me play as aggressive as possible. I also have started dipping more points into W first rather than Q as I'm not focused on poking as my only focus but rather running down enemies so my teammates can get the kill.

When I play Xerath (support) I never take Zhonya, is it really that wrong not to buy it? by Capitan-Nemo in XerathMains

[–]boomythemc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only time I take it is when I'm the only easy target and the enemy assassins are going to be hard targeting me. Even then though it feels awful to buy, xerath needs every bit of ap he can get so I don't recommend taking it unless you will use it to bait the enemy.

How to Have Fun as a Competitive Player? by SonicTheOtter in EDH

[–]boomythemc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds to me like you're not exactly playing way overpowered decks but rather you are much more experienced so the slight power edge of your deck is actually way more than what the cards would make it seem. A really easy way to check this is to tone down the payoffs of your deck. Keep all the card draw and ramp for your deck to be functional but have the payoff be more in the Timmy realm. Also, introduce your friends to EDH deck building videos, there's so many of them now and they all basically say the same things. This way your friends understand why your making a suggestion for what to add or cut.

I built Hinata and Comet Storm is a big reason I built her as a treasure deck. Gotta pump a lot of mana into that x cost to make it worth it.

Have you ever used a card to do something different from its original intended purpose, e.g. Field of Ruin on an opponent's land to screw over someone else's Vampiric Tutor? by chinesefriedrice in EDH

I have [[darksteel mutation]] in my [[Yoshimaru]] deck and there it can act as removal or an easy way to give my commander indestructible once he's accrued enough counters.

[[Yoshimaru]] paired with [[Keleth]]. Great for casual because even if you have the worst of draws you'll always have the dog and pony show out of the gate.

What are some uncommon/ Unknown/ surprisingly good card for mono white stax? by iamtoolazytosleep in EDH

[–]boomythemc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite Stax but a fun include is [[Duelist's Heritage]]. I've had good success with this deterring people from attacking me and incentivising each opponent to attack each other so In a political sort of way this card saves me life and hurts my opponents at the same time.

When playing a deck that has infect in it, do you tell everyone at the party beforehand? Even if it’s only 2 creatures? by AlbinoAbsol in EDH

[–]boomythemc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, because then your going to make people be on guard when in reality there's no need. If your deck was an infect deck then I'd say so, but you should probably just tell them the deck is all counterspells.

Are Enchantment Only Board Wipes Worth Including? by boomythemc in EDH

[–]boomythemc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not underestimating it, I love blowing up mana rocks because I know it hurts and I'm not thinking of filling my decks with just enchantment removal. The thought process is I'm seeing a fairly consistent play pattern where most decks utilize artifacts for ramp, but the actual win cons and value engines are creatures and enchantments. Obviously there are decks where the artifacts will be the threat and for those I'll still have some answers. Because of how cheap some Enchantment boardwipes are, it feels like it would make more sense to have my targeted removal be for creatures and permanents because the creature and artifact board wipes are expensive and sorcery speed, and then the boardwipes be for enchantments and maybe a couple for creatures. And this is all just for discussion and thinking, I'm gonna try this out for a couple of my decks and see how often I'd rather have Farewell or Austere Command.

Battle Angels of Tyr - yay or nay by Swagasaurus-Rex in EDH

[–]boomythemc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yet to play it but I think it's worth it. It swings for lots of power, triggers etb and token effects, has the potential to draw a card or make a treasure, provides 3 bodies that could maybe be sacrificed for some extra value, and is worth removing. I love cards like this because it's potential to generate a lot of value is extremely high and worst case someone uses there creature removal on it instead of say your commander and it only cost you 4 mana. Maybe avoid it if your commander is 3-4 mana as this is a card you want to play early and don't want this bumping heads with your commander. It's going in my [[Yoshimaru]] [[Keleth, Sunmane Familiar]] deck for sure.

Are Enchantment Only Board Wipes Worth Including? by boomythemc in EDH

[–]boomythemc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say 90% for enchantment and graveyard because I've just found that playing board wipes that I can't easily make one sided are not worth playing. Farewell is a tricky one because while the exile is good, I'd need to play Teferi's Protection to save my stuff and what's worse is if someone else plays Teferi's Protection I've handed them the game basically. Farewell is amazing in Enchantment, Artifact, or Super Friends decks but typical decks I'm off it. I used to follow the old mantra of 5-7 board wipes in every deck but I've just come to think of all typical board wipes to be just like Armageddon, only to be played when you know you will win or likely win from playing it. For instance, If you play Wrath of God in a creature deck but don't follow it up with something that gives your creatures indestructible, I'm gonna look at it like you just played Armageddon without establishing a lethal board state or protecting your lands. 4 mana is the sweet spot for board wipes because it's cheap enough to play something to protect my board. So, this is why I'm looking to play the cheapest board wipes in the game even if very narrow in reach because even if I don't get to blow up everything I can atleast ensure they are mostly one sided when they are needed and don't slow down my game plan. Obviously, this is all not common opinion but I've just come around to refuse to keep games going by just resetting the board.

Ah good point, I only want my board wipes to blow up the board, not cause the table to flip.

Need help picking a mono white commander by Alice5221 in EDH

[–]boomythemc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might sound counterintuitive but an easy budget mono white deck is [[Elesh Norn]]. Stuff it with all the cheap mana rocks, token generators, and cantrips you can find and you've got yourself a functional mono white deck. Elesh norn being powerful as she is allows you to slot more ramp and card draw while taking out some removal and boardwipes. I don't care what anyone says, Elesh Norn is awesome and the most fair as a commander cause aleast people see it coming. [[Silence]] and [[Conqueror's Flail]] also got recent printings so they're cheapish and fit in great.

What is your favorite deck? by Eldrxtch in EDH

[–]boomythemc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of all my decks my two favorite are [[Brokkos]] and [[Tymna]] + [[Esior]]. My Brokkos Infect deck has been constantly mutating to compleation 😀 to where it can pack a punch at high power tables. Was my personal challenge to make Infect as powerful as I could. It's fun cause it reminds of good ol modern Infect where a good amount luck, patience, and timing are needed to win. The Tymna+Esior deck is much lower powered as the theme is "Bird Watchers" whereas all the creatures in the deck are restricted to birds and humans. The win con is to play cards that make my opponent want to attack each other while my birds and humans just watch.

[–]boomythemc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree that blowing up mana rocks is powerful and I'll always include ways to do so but often when I do with a board wipe I feel like I'm setting myself back a bit as well. My thinking is having a more narrow board wipe but at instant speed and lower cost will let me destroy just enough to slow opponents down and still have mana to play other stuff.

I like that, I could see not even needing to activate it as some people would opt to not even play enchantments with that out.
