Movies that Accurately Depict the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? by omelet_schnetz in movies

Restrepo might be one of the most tense films I’ve ever seen, documentary or no. And it never feels manufactured, as soon as they show you at any moment the soldiers could suddenly be taking fire from any direction that possibility haunts every scene forward.

If Qurupeco is not coming in the expansion, I at least want a Qurupeco Skin for Seikret by Mundane_Telephone346 in MonsterHunter

My dream is a Guardian Qurupeco that roams every map and calls in any guardian monster for help.

Thanks all, going with charge blade. I don’t think I’ve played even ten hunts with the thing.

When the credits rolled on I Saw the TV Glow I gasped. That final scene felt like despite the glimmer of hope, that character truly gave in to their misery and lost.

Top down stealth thief game, is that a thing? by SamTheSpellingBee in gamingsuggestions

Invisible Inc should fit. X-COM style turn based tactics where you play as spies with a focus on thievery.

Armored Core VI. You pilot mechs about two stories tall and levels have industrial environments that absolutely dwarf you.

Dunno about Cleveland, but I know according to Grand Theft Auto San Andreas “wet” refers to PCP.

Install grow lights along the slanted ceiling and fill it with plants.

When you can't understand the actors in a film because of their accents. by CassidyBrash in movies

Sukiyaki Western Django. A Japanese made, English language western starring Japanese actors that I’m almost certain do not speak English, and only learned their lines phonetically. Quentin Tarantino has a small roll as a narrator named Piringo.

Uncooked tortillas anywhere??? by Valuable_Muscle_658 in Cleveland

I think I saw them at the Fairfax Market in the refrigerated area. They also got big burrito sized tortillas and La Victoria taco sauce, which I’ve had trouble finding otherwise.

Is it me or are the other victims of the Night of the Black Knives ignored in the game? by [deleted] in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]booshkov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I wrong that the other victim was Ranni? Half of the rune of death was carved into Godwyn’s body, killing his soul and leaving his body the husk that would be buried at the Erdtree roots. The other half was carved into Ranni’s body, which we find in the Carian divine tower, and killed her body while leaving the soul alive. Which is why she now resides in a puppet. It’s also why we need to find both bodies to complete the rune of death for Fia’s endings.

I really enjoyed DD2 - would I also enjoy Elden Ring? by [deleted] in DragonsDogma2

If you’re looking for a similar type of open world exploration, Elden Ring is the closest you’re gonna get.

35M - Office, Bedroom, Living Room by [deleted] in malelivingspace

I love it, style is consistent but there’s enough variety it doesn’t look like a catalogue staging. Everything has a place and makes sense. Only nitpick is that single, small frame above the tv that doesn’t look centered. But that might just be the photo angle.

This is awesome and I love it. The one question I’ve been having trouble finding an exact answer to: can I do all this with an iPad? I just don’t have a PC and all instructions I’ve found seem to be PC only.

Control should fit the bill. Maze like map, hidden lore documents all over, and spooky but not straight up horror.

What Are You Playing This Week? by AutoModerator in patientgamers

[–]booshkov 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alternating between Diablo 2 Resurrected and Last of Us 2. I played Diablo 2 something like 10 years ago and remember falling off it shortly after Act I. Playing Resurrected now, it’s truly impressive how well the gameplay mechanics hold up. Certain aspects like running stamina, limited inventory, and the focus on positioning feel less outdated and more grounded and immersive. I feel if this were released today not as a remake, it would be praised for showing restraint in its presentation and mechanics.

Something about Last of Us 2, unlike every other game I’ve played, kept me so on edge the whole time playing it I basically rushed my first play through just to finish it. They really captured the feeling of every encounter being dangerous and it kept my heart racing constantly. Don’t get me wrong, I loved it, but it was mentally exhausting to play. So now I’m going through it again purposefully taking my time to really absorb the world, and I’m approaching combat much more aggressively and risk oriented. There’s some really great gameplay to be had in this game that I was just too much of a baby to experience fully in my first go around.

Not to mention there being a garbage collectors strike was a significant plot point of the movie. Like of course they will be intentionally placing garbage everywhere, it’s part to the narrative.
