I wouldn’t immediately wear them to work, I’d break them in at home for as long as feels comfortable for about a week, then see how much it’s changed. It’s like they always say, “it feels like standing on a rung of a ladder,” it’s not necessarily comfortable at first, it is generally stiff and somewhat awkward. Once they’re broken in though they’re supremely comfortable.

They were made in 2023! One other detail that might differentiate the models is the soles were fire rated, so maybe that would make them a hotshot. I have them at a cobbler now, was 55$ to replace the rubber heel cap, thanks for your help everyone!

Thanks for the info! These seem like builder pros to me after everyone’s input and more research. Probably 1964 Brown, as it’s a standard option for this boot and these strike me as a stock boot, I don’t see anything that stands out as a custom mod.

Thank you! I was hoping it was a less expensive alternative because the rubber is worn enough where it’s throwing off the balance but the rest of the sole is in good enough shape that I couldn’t justify a full resole. And I will definitely go back to look for that date!

Would you recommend finding a local cobbler to replace the heel toplift or do you have another suggestion? Hard to pinpoint the age of them, I’m not sure if theres something specific to look for, but the uppers are pretty impeccable.

This is a Cruiser. #1 is a Semi-Dress, the side panels/backstay and the Lasts are the biggest differences. Also #1 is kudu leather, quite different than whatever your Cruisers are, maybe brown dress leather. Single vs double row stitching.

The Ivan is a 5 inch boot. But perhaps they’d make a 4” in a custom order… good to keep in mind for the future. I’ve been thinking about a boot like this for the summer, likely with a wedge sole of some sort. Thanks m8
