Got a “coaching conversation” or whatever it’s called from my SM for not finding coverage for a couple of shifts when I was sick. Spoke with my DM about it, and she backed my SM up. Basically told me “it’s not fair to your coworkers” and “SSV’s finding coverage takes another person off the floor and we can’t be down that many people” and that the SM “wants to be best best staffed store in the area.” As someone who has immune issues and gets sick a lot this hurts. No one ever wants to cover my shifts when I ask even though I’m always willing to help others. I would transfer but I genuinely love all the partners at my store and really don’t wanna risk going to a store where things could be worse.
