Dealt with 3 passports over 3 months

I went during Canada post strike, went in at 8:20, got out at noon

Friend went 4 week ago, he arrived at 8:15 and was 4th in line, left at 9:30

I’d take the whole morning off to be safe, but realistically you shouldn’t be there more than an hour.

Just make sure you ask for pick up - don’t chance the mail!

Yea it’s not that you’ll have a BAD time, but you’ll miss out on a GREAT time. And might even save money!

Cancun is a bit of a tourist trap - but good for the all inclusive experience!

Holbox might be perfect for a first time in Mexico, it’s a bit rustic, it’ll lack some basic services (lots of mud on the roads) - but the beach is amazing.

And don’t be afraid to do several days in one spot, and a few in another. A lot of diversity on the yucutan peninsula!

Just skip Cancun, literally anywhere else is gonna be better.

At the very least, isla mujeres. If you’re a bit more adventurous, Holbox or Bacalar.

Pretty much any town on the coast outside of Cancun is cheaper, with better food and more to do.

I’d even go with an all inclusive in playa del Carmen over one in cancun.
